  1. They already did. It's called the 2+2. I heard it wasn't much of a success... (Ducks to avoid flying bottles and rocks)
  2. Anyone over there deserves respect... Whether they are there to try to do their part, or just for a butt-load of money. Don't downplay your role too much, I would imagine you are just as likely a target as the troops.
  3. JDM is cool because when you need to replace a part you can get a rental car for 3 weeks while you wait for it to come in the mail! Then you can brag about having to wait for your Soshinoya badge which is coming in the mail while you drive around a rental dodge caliber. When It comes back from the shop It's gonna be mad JDM Tyte Yo!
  4. Thanks For Serving. Enjoy the beaches! Please come back in one piece.
  5. Talk to him one more time on the phone. Record it, and if things don't work out report him to your local better business bureau. Then proceed as above with official documentation from a lawyer, and small claims. Good luck. Maybe he will make good on it, it's quite possible that someone who didn't know the details was assigned the project, and it passed by the owner without being checked.
  6. I haven't touched it since that big push I made to make it to the last meet. The wiring isn't finished, and I still need to fire it up, make sure it moves and check that my stoppers and turners work. An honest weekend worth of work provided that nothing major is going to fall off the first time I take it down the road.
  7. Email me, i'll probably lose track of this thread cdemmerle@hotmail.com
  8. Yup. Might take me a little while to get them to you. But i've got a pair. Shipping should be around $10 fedex ground.
  9. Contact the bank directly, have information for the current owner (name, account # if possible, vin#) Ask them what the procedure is. I would NEVER pay the person without having the title in my hand. Write a check to the bank and have them mail you the title. Once that is in motion, pick up the car and pay the owner the difference he is owed (if the selling price is more than the loan). Paying him to pay them seems like it's asking for trouble
  10. Just saw this now... Shoot out an e-mail if you put together something else, totally missed this thread.
  11. I dunno, hope it holds together for more than 500 miles. Lots of hack job sr swaps out there. I'd get a mechanic to give it a once over + compression test it. Good luck with it, and I hope the kid is dumb, not shady.
  12. In theory it's easy enough... I'd hate to see the headache of tuning, and balancing them though.
  13. Don't feel bad... It's better to own the ugliest car than the second ugliest. At least it's good at what it does!
  14. Almost any... you just have to extend the tube. That will be easier than the install of the fuel cell itself. I like the idea of shaving the fuel door though, that was a plus in choosing a fuel cell over re-finishing my old tank.
  15. Got mine from jegs pretty cheap. Looks good where it sits, I'm happy with it. My only dislike is that the fittings are on top of the cell. It's supposed to be a circle track cell, but shouldn't suffer for a street application. All install Pics: http://www.putfile.com/buymyavenger/images/143384
  16. If you only want the transmission it's way overpriced. If you are planning on using or selling the other stuff that comes with it it might be an ok deal. Brand new is under $2500 Jegs has all applications for $2425 http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_951784_-1_10561 Edit: On second thought why would you buy a used high performance trans with 50k on it? I doubt it's been babied. Not worth taking chances for any more $ than a stock trans would run you. If you found a similar one for under $1,000 i'd say jump on it, otherwise i'd buy new.
  17. Found this on an s2000 board i'm on. Same owner, upgraded from ap1 to ap2 with lower miles. Looks like a good low mile deal for anyone who is looking for one http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=536873 http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=536865 Figured I would post it here in case anyone is looking. I don't think it comes with ECU, and you'd need headerback exhaust (Good time to make it turbo) I'd love a 9k prm redline.
  18. Too many clips of them racking the gun, not enough of them using it. I think it could have used a dramatization ala guy in ski mask becomes spaghetti and meatballs in ski mask.
  19. I pulled everything out of my car, but once again it's not going to be driven on anything but clear, sunny days. I have no roof, no window glass or mechanicals, no interior or anything like that so I just tore it all out. If you might possibly drive the car at all at night, in the rain, any time that the windows might possibly fog up it's worth it to keep it just for that one time that you will need it. I'd say that between all of the components it's between 50 - 100 lbs (closer to 100) that you can shave off the car. (This includes heater core, vents, vent pulls, ducting, heater controls, blowers etc.). It is a worthwhile place to look for weight reduction... But, only If you absolutely won't ever need to unfog your windshield.
  20. At least it will be good for wheelstands...
  21. When i'm not working on the car... With my girlfriend of 2 years.
  22. I don't know, even if that tranny is that strong, seems like overkill for a car that didn't make 200hp or torque even in turbo form. That's like nissan using the titan tranny in a versa. But once again, I have no experience with the tranny, just what my common sense is telling me.
  23. Why the audi tranny? I can't think of any possible reason to bolt up a tranny made for 162 hp / 177 tq. car to a bmw v12 making 375hp / 400 tq. You might want to at least complete the research end of this swap before looking for a mechanic. Then again there might be a reason (i'm hoping) for using this tranny?
