  1. I am looking at 80psi. I am also using the Corvette filter/regulator. I also have the Walbro 255 fuel pump; you think thats the problem?
  2. I just want to know how many of you guys with LSx are having or had a problem with high fuel pressure and what you did to get it under control.
  3. Scott, thanks for your response. I have a LS6 intake and fuel rail and there is no retunn line nor FPR on the rail. I am using the Corvette fuel filter with regulator and it has a return on it. So, to answer your question, yes I have a return line. Most of my lines are hard lines and the rubber lines are fuel injectors lines.
  4. What AFPR are you guys are using? I have the 5.3 with LS6 intake, LS1 gas tank, Walbro 255 fuel pump, corvette fuel filter/regulator and I making to much fuel pressure. When I turn the ing on its at 60psi and when I crank it goes to 85psi. I keep blowing the fuel pump hose. Again, I could use some advice.
  5. Lastly, what do you guys think about using the 240z booster with a 280zx MC? Is this a good combo?
  6. I have a 73 240z with a v8 and need to upgrade my braking system. I have already upgraded to the Toyota 4x4 front brakes and now need to upgrade booster and MC. I have researched here and other sites and kind of confused. I also have a booster from a 79 280zx but will not fit right (to big and wont mate up with the firewall)and has a soft pedel. Any advice will be welcome, thanks in advance.
  7. This was some great advice. I only wanted a setup that supported my current setup. I went to HD (Home Depot) an about 30 min later had a working part. Saying that, I still think we should support our Z guys who make custom parts for our Z projects. If I did not have the current setup, I would have gotten Savage42 setup. Thanks
  8. I agree, but first I will try to mod my existing setup. If I can't get it to work them I will consider your setup. Thanks
  9. Thanks for your response and I like your setup. But I am not really sure what you are selling.
  10. Update, I sent the gauage back to Autometer and they made it work for my application. I only paid about 20.00
  11. I have a 5.3 and swapping to a LS6 intake. The truck throttle cable will not work with the LS6 intake. So I have to change the design. Could someone please send pictures and instructions on how you setup your throttle cable; would be very helpful. Thanks
  12. OK, I figured it out. I have a 2002 Camaro V8 gas tank and there are 4 wires to connect (black, red, purple and black with white strip). Black to ground, red to ing (+) purple to fuel lever and the black/white strip is another ground I think for the sender. I am glad to say it is now working.
  13. I am trying to get my Autometer fuel level to work and not sure how the LS1 sender should be wired. Does anyone have a diagram or pictures they could share. I have looked and looked but could not find anything useful. Its a 2002 Camaro gas tank.
  14. I got the wrong gauge and sent it back to Auto Meter and they fit it to work with my LS1 gas tank. I have the sending unit grounded to the car body.
  15. I just received my Autometer fuel lever a few days ago and its alway reads full. I am hooking it to a LS1 tank and sender. I unhooked the Sender wire and turn the key on and its still reading full. Any suggesting? Thanks
  16. I have a LS1 gas tank and can not figure out what auto meter fuel gauge will work with this setup. I already searched and still is unclear.
  17. As it turned out, that was not the problem . I had an extender on the driverside o2 sensor. I disconnected, reconnected and relocated the o2 sensor wire and it seem to do the trick. The car is running fine and no rough idle nor smoke out of the driverside tail pipe . Oh, I also did the LS6 cam swap (springs, etc) about 2 weeks ago and need to tune for the new cam .
  18. Ok, problem solved. The fuel rail on the drivers side was given too much fuel. I replaced the both rails and its running better. The next project is a cam swap. Thanks to all.
  19. That was not the problem. I am now think about some leaks somewhere.
  20. I think I have found the problem. It seems to be the O2 sensor. I have already changed it and will test drive the car later today. I hope this fix the problem.
  21. Thanks, I will check but the computer is not showing a code for the O2 sensor.
  22. I have a 2002 5.3 v8 in my 240z and lately it has been running rough. I scaned and it coded the frount knock sensor. I replaced the knock sensor and the check engine light when off. I re-scaned the engine and there were no codes but it is still running rough. I pullled all the spark plugs out and the driver side where all black with carbon. Why all on the driver side are black with carbon and not the other side? I looked for air leaks but did not find any or did not look in the right place. I am at a lost and need some advice. Thanks in advance
  23. Thanks, the exhaust starts with a pair of Camaro intakes with the flanges cut off to fit and welding a 2.5 exhaust pipe from there. I choose to use the Hooker Tunable Mufflers and is very pleased with the result. The car is one of the quietest V8 I have ever heard at idle but give it some gas and you will wake the monster. Its a custom job that only cost $180.00 minus the mufflers.
  24. I found the scoop on Ebay and cut a hold in the hood.
