  1. I finally received my long awaited exhaust set-up. I wasn't feeling the boy racer style slanted exhaust and I had an HKS Hi-Power on my last Z so it was time to do something different. I wanted a classic twin stacked exhaust but the original Ansa's were to small for a turbo set-up. I researched for a few weeks trying to find a well made 3" exhaust tip merge and finally settled on a very nice US made example that met my criteria. 3" inlet and 2.5" twin outlets that will accept 3" tips Double wall brushed 304 stainless steel tips 3" Resognator

  3. I will do an updated mod list at some point here soon. I have no idea what the internals are, the previous owner didn't do any of the work so your guess is as good as mine. Factory boost. I was getting ready to put the exhaust manifold and turbo back on today and decided to inspect the turbo. Not sure how I missed this when I first took it off but there is a large crack inside at the wastegate. So my previous statement of the turbo being in good shape was clearly wrong. Rather than fix this or buy another 30 year old turbo I decided to try out a stock RB25DET turbo. It's a T28, ball bearing, and water cooled. Should be a nice little step up over the old snail.

  5. I said freezer PLUGS not pugs. Google freeze plug and tell me what comes up. Freeze plug, expansion plug, core plug, same thing to me sir. Please keep the official nomenclature comments out of my build thread.
  6. It's been tough finding the time to work on the Z lately but I've finally gotten around to swapping out oil pans. Looked nice and clean in there Had to get a oil pick-up tube from a ZX in order to run the rear sump pan Magnetic oil drain plug for some piece of mind Fixed the leaky freezer plug and did the others while everything was out

  8. I have a new long bolt I never used, I can measure it if you want and mail it to you. Shoot me a PM if you want it.
  9. MSA sells the short and long bolt. Runs about $5
  10. Yeah $50 bucks is pretty high for a used tube. I actually bought one from MSA a few days ago for $25 bucks brand new. They didn't have a picture of it so I was still looking for a used one in case they sent me the wrong part. I received it yesterday and it was just what I was looking for, and it's OEM too. Lucky for me because finding a used one was proving to be pretty difficult.
  11. Yes sir, there's not many pictures so I just posted a generic one, I went from a center sump oil pan to a zx turbo rear sump and needed the proper pick-up to match.

  14. This won't work for me. I need a 79-83 pick-up, from a rear sump oil pan, turbo prefered.

  16. I'm in the process of changing out my oil pan and took a couple pictures of the crank while I had it opened up. I noticed later when looking at the pictures it looks like it has some cut marks and the edges seem sharper than others I've seen..any ideas? Mildly lightened?
