  1. Nice. I only drive the z in optimum weather conditions anyway. Dash has enough cracks in it hehe
  2. I tested it going both fast & slow. When I got back from my drive I let her idle in the driveway for over ten min with no change in temp. Before the fan was zip tied on and the temp would fluctuate and overheat if left sitting to long. Now it stays right smack in the middle the whole time.
  3. Well took the car out in 80 something degree weather and it did in fact run slightly hotter. It was a bit over the half way mark. I removed it again and cut a large square out. Took it back out and it stayed right in the middle. Everything's all good now.
  4. I did notice the high dollar shrouds available were spaced out more from the radiator but I don't think think mine will cause a problem. The shroud isn't completly flush on the fins, their is still a slight gap. I havnt had time yet to fully test it out but tomorrow will be warm out so I'll post results.
  5. Finally got around to fabricating a radiator fan shroud. It isn't that pretty but it works and is very solid. Much better than the open air zip tie version.
  6. Nice. The RB makes a great sound. Here's my old RB25DE Z cruising around.. http://youtu.be/piEFnmGiY48
  7. I have a radiator from my 73 that I could sell you for $40. Works fine and I'm 45 min from C bad. Shoot me a message if interested.
  8. Here's mine currently...waiting for a used horn button to pop up somewhere..
  9. Took the Z out today to get some video clips for a montage I'm working on and snapped a couple pictures in the process. This is a shot I really like, old picture, newly edited.

  12. Why not buy reproduction stickers already offered by MSA?
  13. For the outside I used a lens clarifying compound that came with a Turtle Wax headlight restore kit. The insides had some dirt and grim in them and rather than take them apart and risk breaking them I used moistened cotton balls with long tweezers to surgically rub the insides through the small bulb openings. Followed it up with dry cotton balls to remove any moisture. It was fun watching them come back to life!
  14. Thanks, the springs are GC 175/200. I haven't measured the free length but next time I have a wheel off I will. You can get an eye ball idea here..
  15. After a few hours of adjusting my coilovers this is as high as my rear will go. I would prefer it to be a bit higher but it does look mean and surprisingly doesn't rub.
  16. Thanks, yeah I'm not sure what year they came out of, I'm assuming older than the one you pictured. Mine were power but I never had them hooked up, they had the manual levers to use as well thankfully. The weight wasn't that bad at all, plus with an rb26dett you really don't need to worry about saving 20 pounds. Edit: I've always assumed they were 944 but they do look slightly different. If you find out mine were something different let me know. They're definitely Porsche at least.
  17. I had 944 seats in my old Z. Fit very well, wouldn't recommend them for anyone hefty. They fit me snug and I'm 6'3" 190. They look like they belong in the Z...
