Im using 2.5inch pipe into a short glasspack at the back. flows good and sounds cool IMO. idel it sounds kinda odd, almost like a small tractor. but at WOT it sounds like datsunlover said, its unique. it cant be mistaken for a 4banger or with a 8.
I wired it up so that the relay draws power from the supply wire for the engine coil. i tested it in an ally a few min ago. when i flip the switch, i hear the relay kick in and the engine startes to stall. When i did it i was at like 2k and reved when it kicked in. i heard it backfire and saw alot of smoke out of the pipe. i think its safe to say that its working
I did some reading and i am going to run my engine coil off of a relay(post that puts power wen switch is off) and run the flame coil off of the oter side of the relay. so wen i wind up my engine and hit the switch, it will kill ignition and light the fuel.
No cat. It was in the pipe. its a ngk dirtbike plug because i read 2stroke plugs are better for it. i was thinking of runing w/ the choke on at like 5k. would this owkr?
I got bored today and pieced together a flamethrower kit. i had my friend verify that i had spark. Im running my mix a little rich, not much. I cannot get a flame to produce at the tail pipe.
its like 3 inches from the end. ngk plug. accel wire. regular coil. please help ;me trouble shoot this. i did it for the carshow in a few weeks and need it working
i recently polished my valve cover. Just go down to your local paint shop and pick put an aluminum polishing kit. it looks like 2 giant crayons and 2 wheels. it takes about 10 hours of work to get it perfect if theres a clear on the cover but its worth it. i did it in a weekend and it worked wonders.
No police ever come down my street(ever since the people next door moved) and no one is enviromenalists. could i just unhook the line instead of cutting?
I unhooked the belt for my ac compressor some time ago. i used the viewing glass to check for bubbles and from what the service manuel says, there is very little refrigerant in the lines. I need to adjust my alternators tention and the bolt is directly below the ac compressor, it is also blocked by a radiator hose. i was wonder how to discharge the little amount of refrigerant left. Here is a picture of the compressor.
it woudl work. depending on the actual set up mite not be a good thing. i was plaing on doing this but drawing power from the ignition hot switch so i CAN NOT leave my lights on.
I figured that i would need a gas shock to help hold/lift it up. ever since i saw the 280 with it i have been thinking about it. so what exactly whoudl i have to do to get the hood/fenders to clear the lights? this is the only problem im having. or would the lights/light housing come up w/ the hooD?
I had the crazy idea of making a tilt frontend on my 240z after seeing the 280 with it. I was wondering (with framing ofcourse) if i could weld the fenders to the hood and cut them even with the wheel well, and build a tubed frame for the front, woudl it work with steel? Also, what exactly am i getting into with this project?
I am going to assume that it needs a computer. correct if wrong. when you go WOT in an automatic, it downshifts to accelerate. Im assuming that it would need it to tell when to shift
Yea, thats what my opinion on cars are too. If you dont do the work yourself, you cant call it yours. even if i run, fisheye, sag, ect... i was the one who did it. i plan on shooting it just before summer
