  1. Using inertia to drift is in no way really drifting. Using wet pavement makes it even more laughable. Clutch kicks, ebrakes, and power is drifting.
  2. Since when is sliding on a wet surface considered drifting?
  3. my dash is suede wrapped with dark grey stiching around the pods and seem lines. will post some pictures when i get my autometers installed with it.
  4. what do you flush it with? i know when i had my s2000 they did not recommend seafoam, its too harsh on a lot of new engines. also do you have a shroud for them? i picked up a stock hydro fan with shroud and its gonna fit, will need to modify one of the flanges on the radiator to make it fit but that wont be hard.
  5. Im currently running the taurus fans and am running into cooling issues, I was going to build a shroud for them or upgrade to a better electric fan but all I keep hearing is how bad efans are. Is it possible to even fit the hydrofan with shroud in the 240z engine bay? Any pics pointers or tips will be greatly appreciated, or ideas for what electric fan will hold up.
  6. waiting for a response to this before i order my set.
  7. I would want some, but they wouldnt fit with my cage. Now im not sure where to put speakers/tweeters, I wanted to keep them in front of the driver/passenger.
  8. Thanks for the help, I guess i'll have to fiberglass something onto it so i can attach some brackets. I'm completely ignorant when it comes to composites.
  9. Does that bracket bolt onto aluminum on the hood or is that CF? I was worried about cracking it when drilling it and the stress from it being mounted. That is exactly what I was going to attempt
  10. If you're ever able to snap a few pictures of how its mounted it would be greatly appreciated. I don't know anyone with a Z that I can really look at. I currently have nrg locks on my hood top and bottom, it flexs constantly when im driving and im worried about it stressing or flying off.
  11. is your cf hood attached to oem hinges? did it comes with the tabs that stick out for the hinges to attach to? also do you expierience any flex on the hood at speeds 70+? im having trouble keeping my hood stable, and also it dosent have anything to attach the oem hinges too, its dry carbon and would hate to get rid of it.
  12. thanks. i didnt like them up on the fenders to begin with, just wanted to wait till i started to redo the interior before i drilled the holes in the door. Ill have modernized interior shots within the next month or two, EVERYTHING is getting touched. These past few months have been just getting everything into the mechanical shape i want them to be in while attaining parts, after the interior im debating getting some CF zg flares and new wheels.
  13. i mean connection wise. do you run a jz engine? ive read i need to change the water temp to a different thread type.
  14. awesome, are there any adapters i need to run? i just would like to order everything at once rather than trying to find out what i need when it comes in. unfortunatly this time crisis has got me.
  15. good write up. looks so funny seeing those seats in there after having 2 s2ks. i miss them.
  16. cool. so none of the oem ones will work with the engine without heavy modification? autometers will do the job?
  17. Im forced to start driving my Z to work and have not yet found gauges for my new OEM dash. I need an option that will fit the OEMs tach/speedo and water temp, oil temp, and pressure that will work on the 1jz. having trouble finding what size gauges I would need to but to work on the 1jz and fit the oem dash. Have any of you had success on this? The only thread I found some info on was someone saying they used a 280z tach, but not sure if i could use the water temp/oil gauges.
  18. spring rates. and pre loads. cutting your springs does not net the same results as adjustable coilovers.
  19. from what ive heard its the laying of the actual carbon fibers which is hard, even harder to get it aesthetically correct. I know a majority of the CF s2000 hardtops were just carbon wrapped on the outside. I will be trying out wrapping pieces once i start to makeover my interior.
  20. As title states im looking for 280z stub axles to complete my cv conversion. Located in san diego california but willing to pay for shipping.
  21. check around the dash or glovebox, maybe the engine bay. i wouldnt know, never had interior pieces or dash just put in an aftermarket one when i got mine. if your blowing an ignition fuse i bet you have a exposed wire thats grounding and shorting it out.
