  1. @jc240z I am interested in your three-piece Z spoiler you posted. What is the price and shipping cost? And where do I send payment?
  2. Do you have a link to the kit you bought?
  3. Who's YZ is that? Its not the Darius or Nestor LS.... or any of the other ones I see on the YZ site: http://www.ztrix.com/tag/7-280yz.html
  4. Just saw this other blue Z that won Best 240Z at the SoCal ZDay in Pismo Beach: http://www.ztrix.com/280yz-kits/madlangbayan-280yz.html
  5. If you are still interested in fiberglass parts, I would recommend the company run by John Washington out of Arizona. He sold me high quality fiberglass fenders and airdam. And I know he customizes the parts on request and tries his hardest to ship them in the most economical way. Its http://www.ztrix.com/ I highly customized the parts and created my own "kit" per sey. Here's my build blog: https://www.facebook.com/240ZeffR Here are the photos from 2007 when I first test fit the ZTrix fenders: https://www.facebook.com/555679747891247/posts/557020911090464/
  6. If anyone wants to you can view the earliest posts of my work in progress starting here: http://240z.tumblr.com/page/6 Then scroll to bottom and click previous.
  7. 1. I tried a cheap Grant steering wheel, but didn't like the smaller diameter. At this point, I plan to use my original stock steering wheel. I just need to refit the horn pad. 2. I bought these wheels and tires, about 5 years ago. They are 235/40zr18 fronts and 275/35zr18 rears. I have 2" front spacers and 4" rear spacers. What you see is what will be
  8. The tire I have installed are 275/35zr18 with about 2.5" of space before they hit the spring. But I left a little wiggle room so that when I lower the car and straighten the camber that the outside edge of the tire will not rub the new fender. I therefore don't know how much wider of a tire could fit. The rear's have 4" spacers that also convert to 5 lug so I could find less expensive wheels.
  9. The carpet is nice but I have the car parked on a plastic sheet and then I srop down a plastic sheet curatin that is stapeled to the celing to creat a dust booth. That way I don't have to clean up the whole garage or worry about my 64' mustang also parked in the garage. P.S. The mustang is for sale to pay for all I want to do to the z, which is my favorite car.
  10. I am currently talking with John of reactionresearch.com about bringing these door panels and customized fenders to market as a complete kit.
  11. When kits cover the whole length of the fenders, I never liked how the stock door panels always made it obvious that the fenders were add ons. I originally had jimcookracing flares on this car in 2002, before the ZG flares become so popular. The body shop messed up, so ripped the flares off and bought the fenders from reactionresearch.com http://240z.tumblr.com/post/43601358947/it-took-18-months-for-this-body-shop-to-ruin-my
  12. The door channels to a 2"diameter port into the rear wheel well. Its mostly aesthetic since this is just a street car.
  13. Maybe instead of a link to all the photos, I will attach a couple here. SubtleZ front fenders and dam. YZ Rear fenders. Obviously, 100% custom dash mockup:
  14. Did I put this topic in the wrong category? ....not one reply?
  15. I'm always interested in opinions and recommendations on my 240z widebody project. Currently all my photos are at http://240z.tumblr.com/tagged/240-z
  16. In my experience, if you cut through both inner and outer fenders then you have to weld them back together. I cut "fingers" out of the inner and bend them around the outer fender. You can see my horrible (total beginner) weld job at: http://web.mac.com/modernmagic/240z/Blog/Entries/2007/5/4_Customizing_wheel_wells.html
  17. I have a 1973 240z and need to make an adapter for the rear wheels. What is the stock center bore?
  18. Speeder, Do you have any detailed photos of your car with 18's on it?
  19. How much clearance do you have between the tire and the fender? 1/4", 1/2" ?
  20. Speeder, thanks for all the great info. You are obviously correct in stating that all cars have different measurements. I measured the total clearance in the rear wheel well to be 12" with my YZ fenders installed. 12 x 25.4 = 305 max tire width. I plan on shooting for 275 so that I have 1/2" clearance front and back for suspension squirm. Does this sound right? For that matter here's my math for sizing the rear wheel and tires: 12.25" total clearance 7" front side 5.25" backside 275 tire width = 10.8" 10.8" / 2 = 5.4" centerline of wheel 5.4" + .5"(front side space between tire and fender) = 5.9" 7" - 5.9" = 1.1" offset Assuming a +30 offset is common for a off the shelf wheel 30 / 25.4 = 1.18" 1.18 + 1.1 = 2.28" adapter required Does this sound like the right math?
  21. ibhsbz, Are these the ones you have? http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Adapter_4_Lug_4_5_To_5_Lug_4_5_p/4450-5450.htm
  22. I might be interested. What are the exact specs?
  23. Where did you buy your adapters? How much were they?
