  1. TimO, how is it that you can be a Kaaz distributor still and get a break in pricing? I have been told (By Kaaz) that they don't have retailers anymore and they only sell directly from their website.
  2. See that's really funny, because I heard they were the bee's knees...
  3. That's how I've always done mine. It DOES make a large difference in braking performance. If you don't do this, you are cheating yourself out of performance!
  4. Kaaz has stopped selling to retailers at a discount, so if you get one froma retailer they are going to be either old stock, or way too expensive. The only source now is direct from Kaaz on their website.
  5. Pressurize your entire intake system at 10psi with a regulator and an airhose and do soap and water leak checks. You'll be amazed what you can find that way that you won't find at idle.
  6. Damn, I wish these were out years ago! Finally some nice looking inexpensive wheels available for the Z. (rewinds too!) Finally the vendors are heeding the requests of many Z owners over the years. If you want them to be around 2 years from now, you'd better support them (by buying a set) or they will not last...
  7. Just a suggestion... put up your price a little so you make a small margin. (maybe 10% tops) Otherwise in my experience (and everyone elses on this board) you will actually lose money in the end because of increased costs for shipping, special orders, custom requests, etc. I don't think anyone will be unhappy if you do this, I know I wouldn't be. Free advice, take it for what it cost you.
  8. Easy way to tell, do the calipers say "S12" or "S12W" on them? The latter are for vented rotors and are off the 4Runner. Edit: I just realized you could be correct, maybe they had an 84 4Runner in the US but not in Canada? Stranger things have happened.
  9. I'll get raped on shipping/duty doing it that way Alex... probably could buy TE37's for the same price as if I bought these through the US.
  10. Except they didn't make a 4Runner in 84. I assume you mean the non-vented toyota pickup calipers? The 4 runner calipers are used in conjunction with 300zx vented front rotors, and are a fair bit larger and make wheel clearance more of an issue.
  11. I wouldn't say I am not interested! They are sweet. Gonna check with my Rota rep this week and see what he can do for me...
  12. Hrm, I don't recall the 240z and 280z hubs having any differences other than the shape of the mounting face, but apparently they do! I used 240z hubs...
  13. Well here is mine... it is VERY much a work in progress. Only been on the go for a few months. Many updates (many aesthetic) coming every weekend. Why is it cool? The 2 post Rotary hoist and the dyno dynamics dynomometer set it apart from most I think...
  14. Does the .25" spacer center the rotor in the caliper for you? I've made mine .500" in the past if memory serves me and it lines them up nicely.
  15. I've run S12W/300zx fronts on 2 different cars with snowflakes and there was clearance.... what gives with your setup?
  16. So basically you mean it looks like a piece of **** like yours used to. Thanks a lot!
  17. Pretty much my sentiments too Jamie. I skip over this stuff. It doesn't add to the site content IMHO, and usually gets peoples feathers in a ruffle. This site is about cars and so it should stay!
  18. Haha I made the list with a freaking spraybomb paintjob! Sweet!
  19. Drive on blocks first, get a low profile jack, have someone lift it up, etc. My car is quite low, I can always get a jack under the rear diff without a problem. In the front I usually just drive onto a couple of 2x4's to raise it up enough for the jack. However, since I got a low-pro rotary lift I haven't had to do any of that stuff.
  20. For your car I would use 15.0km/h/s to 17.5km/h/s on a dyno dynamics unit. (150 to 175 on the handheld)
  21. Do yourselves a favor and make them in the front and the rear, and make yourself some nice tall jackstands that fit right in the holes... it's divine!
