  1. To do the FULL led front and rear lighting is a pretty penny. ( to do it right.) I am just trying to get my Z on the road.... lol.... I have bought 2 54" curved LED bars for my DD truck as a reward..... now to just by the Roof rackthat they need to be mounted to...... then 35" tires, front and rear bumpers...... See what you started!!!!!b
  2. I have a set of 17" wheels for the street and I will get some 15" for the rear for the drag strip. I mirror RebekahsZ
  3. That is what happens when your car is a garage queen and doesn't see the rain........ Also it is a 88xxx mile car.... rear quarters were a different story...... the P/O had the wheel arch lips "fixed" back in the early 80s and it seems the body shop took him for a ride and plastered bondo all over the panels. When the flares were put on they cut out bondo that was over 1/2" thick......
  4. The dash is back in, all gauges are installed in their present location. There will be some eventual changes on locations ( I will make a triple gauge pod for the driver's pillar as well as a custom piece for the dash where the HVAC system was originally). I am adding sound deadening materials to the car as I can or as I have them available. We took the OEM heater and all associated heating equipment out as I am going with a Vintage air system eventually. The car will hopefully start up tomorrow, at the very least this week. Then a once over before the dyno and street tunes. I am heading out to Nebraska tomorrow for a few days of work.
  5. PowerFab is my shop I use. they have done all the swap work on my 240 and have worked on my Supra. Good guys. Dane and them are right behind them. I used Jeremy's Drivetrain guy for my set up. PM me if you want his contact info.
  6. I know you are in Seabrook ( BFE...LOL) The guy who did my set up is in Tomball ( The other side of the world from you) If you need contact info let me know.
  7. Well I would take it back to the guy who put it together and make him make it right. I have a little over 1k in my diff, not counting the kit. FYI. It is worth it though. I have a little more horsepower than you do I think.....
  8. I have the 6 piston wilwood fronts and 4 piston rears. Eventually i can see going to a larger rotor. But until i press the car that hard the 12.2 rotors will do. This os not a dedicated track car like yours. I will be watching to see what you come up with.
  9. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!! Always have. That is what partly feed my addiction growing up.
  10. Will got jokes.... He seems to get getting a funnier guy as his well earned success with these kits grows. Yes My build seems to be creeping, partly due to my inability to stay on task and shovel money at my project..........Yes These brakes will work just fine. I plan on getting some video of the car on the road from all angles. ( so I will put the keys down to the other toy and concentrate on the Z). lol. I spent my birthday working in the shop wasting time putting in sound deadening in the car cause everyone knows it is a waste with a set of longtubes, 3" exhaust, a big nasty cam in a blown ls3.......
  11. I am headed to go work on the Z at the shop. I am putting in a sound and thermal shield today. The Pupra is out, but some issues with the tune, I will be driving that back today to have them look at a few things.
  12. It will be there tomorrow as well. So will I be working on the Z......
  13. I am pushing 24k in parts alone. But I know I am missing some receipts. That is not including labor, or the car. I thought I was good at 18k, but things happen and as long as you know that and can be realistic on getting to a end point then you won't walk away.
  14. Oh yeah, I already go pulled over by the cops in this car...... lol.... I guess I shouldn't have been playing with the car as much as I was. I got a warning.
  15. Some do pretty well if they are set up correctly. but with a built stock auto at this point, the car is not going to be a big performer on the track. It does pull pretty good. Just not anything like my Z...
  16. Hmmm... I guess that I will need to get a ride from you then..... I will let you take the Supra for a run or 2..... lol but not the Z.... lol.....
  17. Mike, Will set me up with the Wilwood 6 piston calipers and 12.2 rotors. So my front and rear rotors are the same diameter.
  18. It will be in 2 years give or take...... or I will at least put my money down on it at that time. I still don't know if I am going to do a RWB conversion on it or keep it stock bodied. It currently has mid 400s to the wheels.
  19. Will, You know I have another one coming...... I didn't have the 30k to spend. Point of diminishing returns. Besides 500whp in a daily, meh why not for 6 months
  20. Shhh I don't think so..... BUT I am getting the Supra back this Friday. I think that the car should be up and running around that week of Christmas. I am not sure it will be tuned and fully driveable. As it still needs the cage and I don't want to get it without it being in the car. My luck I will twist it up like a pretzel. Lots of little things to do. I still have to put in the interior. I got a few rolls of sound deadener to put in the car as well as a vinyl/ foam mat for the floors. I will also need to build up the rear deck..... Then there is the lighting issue..... I have been spoiled by my led projectors on my daily that I will end up doing the same on the Z, as well as full led tail lights and side markers..... See the list goes on and on. But at least the hard part is almost over....
  21. I have a 17x10 with a 275/40/17 up front. I have switched to a 5 lug billet hub as a part of my conversion. (if this helps) I have the Wide ZG flares from jpn_garage....
  22. Gauges are set for now. I will be changing things up later with a triple pilar gauge pod at a later date.
  23. That lift looks a little too tight for your garage..... I think it would be better off in mine..... Looks good
