Twin cam head for the L6 from Derek at Datsunworks
texis30O replied to Derek's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
I am still interested in this project, so much so that given the time that it will take to iron out all production issues I could have cash in hand for it. -
Thank you. This was a very good waste of my time. Lots of cars that are on my bucket list to own.

5.5 in the front and back. 17x10 up front and 17x11.5 out back. 315/35/17 rear and 275/40/17 front. For now I am putting BAMF flares from jpn garage.... but I have some additional changes coming. First I want this thing on the road!!! When it comes back from the body shop it will get the roll cage........ It should be good for 9.5 in 1/4 mile........ -
I try to tell my wife that just because 1 ride is closed down it doesn't mean the whole amusement park has to shut down..... Kind of like those back end problems?

The car is heading to the body shop for them to cut and do the metal work necessary to clearance the wheels and tires..... The shop will work on my gauge set up in the mean time. -
The mounting points would have to be changed up due to the different locations on the Cobra diff vs. the Explorer diff

I will take screen shots when it happens.

I am trying to get my morning reads in on the site and I am getting nothing but " server errors" on 90% of the links I am attempting to go to. Luckily this is allowing me to post here.

I have JW Speaker LED projectors retrod into my OEM Tundra headlights...... because of this I will be doing the same into my Z. There is no other solution in my opinion. You get what you pay for as with anything else.

My car is taking longer than expected. I will have it in 4 weeks from what I was just told. I am stupid busy at work and have been traveling a lot so I have not been able to put any pressure on the guys to get it wrapped up. I will keep you guys in the loop as soon as I get it on the ground and tuned up.

My euro lenses came in... so I will be doing a full conversion to LED projectors up front and I will be doing a LED conversion for the rear lights with an additional 3rd brake light in the hatch. can anyone tell me how I can link in my video of Bruce's car to compare the two eventually. -

Just so happens that I got the pleasure of going to Hawk's 3rd Gen on a business trip to SC and NC this week. I am headed home tomorrow. I am still on hold due to CCW. I do have all of my gauges in from Speed Hut and the shop is working to get them in while we wait. They are working to get the rest of the motor together and start on the wiring while we wait on CCW....... So without delay Here is Bruce's 280z. His set up is so similar to mine it is sickening,..... My cam is a little more rowdy but all in all we pretty much have the same drivetrain...... He was a stand up guy to deal with on the purchase of my stuff and a good guy to hang with for a bit and talk shop. I also have video but I don't know how to post it up..... -

After being dropped on my head a few times as a baby my grandparents told me I was never the same......... My issue is time and skill set. -
Anyone recognize this draw through setup?

Hey now.... LOL. I am glad it went to a new home. I was about as tried and true to the refurbishment of that system as I could be. Tony got a screaming set up that will be fun to drive. I gave up all documentation with the system as I knew Tony would take them and keep them safe. Tom and the PO of my car exchanged mail and phone calls back in the day as they each were offering turbo set ups and my PO wanted to have his car outfitted with the best at the time. If you have any questions hit me up I will let you know what I know and go from there. Tony has ALL my documentation with original TT literature and photos he sent out back in the day. -

lol..... you are a good man for admitting that. I have to do the same on my end as well. I know what I want, and pretty much how to get there, my issue is that I do not have the talent to meet my expectations. I am not willing to attempt on this car..... at least for now. -

If I can ever get my wheels from CCW it would be great....... I believe I should have them next week. I had to source new steering knuckles because the parts that were available would not fit my Bastard car.......( 70 had different knuckles than 71-78) I ordered ALL new Speed Hut gauges and they should be in this coming week..... Problem is I will be working in Arkansas this week and North Carolina and South Carolina the following.....I believe that this is the last of the items that I am lacking to get the car done...... Why do you think your traction is better? Better matched to your springs? I have the adjustable Konis -
Mike, we used OEM type hubs sourced from a Dodge. My concern was when I break something that I can source it or replace it with something better. I will be close to 700whp when all is said and done. I went with the 8.8 due to gearing options, locker options and the fact that they are in cars 1000+ lbs with equivilant whp than mine and can take the abuse.....
