  1. #806 here..... Never wrecked I am the second owner. I have EVERYTHING from the original window sticker to the original spare..... Not to mention it is a turbo Tom car.....
  2. Well over the last few months my life has had some interesting turns. I started my own custom home building company back at the end of 2010. I have been with a production builder for the last 9 years. I was managing both until Feb. My daughter was born 2-6 and I was laid off from my day gig on 2-10. Funny thing is my wife works for the same company. She is still out on maternity leave. I was given what they considered a severance package, but I have another word for it. 12 of us were herded into a room and given a bs speach, envelopes, and sent on our way. I then started to dedicate my time and resources to my company. I am doing well with more and more business coming my way. I am blessed for sure. I have started to do oil and gas inspections in addition to my home building. My wife got a call yesterday from her boss asking if she was coming back to work or if she was quitting..... I laughed knowing something was going on. Turns out that they cut too many staff and people are worn out cause they are not getting paid what they deserve. It also turns out that they have had two people quit on them as well....... Hearing this I am happy knowing they are getting a taste of their own medicine........ Pay back is a *****........
  3. Well done. I just wish that there were videos of the car running... you had a teaser of it idling a while back.....you almost had me pulling my turbo tom out

I just saved a copy of that! Thanks Tony.
  5. So that is 440lbs. But what is the weight of the factory equipment?
  6. I might be missing this but... What is the weight of the frp chasis compared to the factory one? How much more rigid is your work compared to the factory stuff? If someone wants to do a IMSA type widebody can that be done with this chasis?

With all that money spent on the head configuration, and no plug on coil? The HP numbers are great .... But low torque. Tony thanks for the pics, I am jealous that you have such great access to the show and shops.
  8. The car is back together. Running like a scalded ape. I now have to figure out why I have no tail lights or blinkers. I guess I can insure this jap tin can death trap and get it in the road. Of course there are still lots of things to do. Next I believe is the suspension and brakes...... The machine shop drilled out the old vacum line and put in an aluminum one in its place. Shorter, stronger and no leaks. I would be interested to see what the car does in the dyno now that I believe it is sorted out. Andrew funk you did for the help with the carb. I would have been lost with out the help. I will try to get some video of it driving.
  9. So I found a MAJOR problem. The vacum line that went into the primary off of the turbo to feed presure into the carb had been bent, mangles and cracked. I have pulled the carb apart completely and it is a a shop down the road getting a new line put in. Once that is back together I should be able to see what the car can do. I think that this would change things up on the dyno as well. But we will see.
  10. If I make it up there with the car I will let you know. I go up to Richardson every few months, but with the family. No a/c and no room for baby seats makes a hard sell for a road trip car with the family.
  11. That is what 50k will get you.... Nice and clean......so many things in this car are on my "to buy" list......
  12. Will this be on pump gas? What kind of power? Do you have a parts list?

That thing should go for the price of a kidney......and a testical
  14. Spring, off of rayford and aldine westfeild.... And yourself?
  15. Car got home without issue. Temp was good. I washed her for the first time in 3 years. I have the dyno files but dont know how to post them any ideas? Ofcourse the trip was not without issue....... I decided to play a little bit and ended up getting sparks flying out of my hood, I am glad I did not have it closed all of the way..... Battery VS. boost...... Here are some carb pics I have as well......
  16. Labor is cheap in Texas....... Very friendly to start up companies here.......
  17. The pvc bars are full of brick mortar, and sand.... just a nice addition to any walk around the block.
  18. I build custom homes. I had my trim guy build it out for me, all ball bearing drawer guides, slat wall with aluminum inserts. I am getting more vynil made for over the garage doors, the floor is covered in a 2 part epoxy, 1/16" flakes with metallic and pearl in them, and a polyeurothane slip resistant coating on top. I still have to get the tv out there.
  19. iBang, please tell me that you did more to frame in the garage door, and service door. There needs to be a lot more framing material up for support and structural integrity
  20. I will play. I don't have my Z at the house this week, I should get it back next week.......
  21. As always. This thread is worthless without pics!!! I have seen some fpr bodies for sale on eBay. I would be interested to see what you have done.
  22. There is a LD crank for sale here in Houston on craigslist.......just a fyi...
  23. Sounds like a mis-management of financials.
  24. I have the chance to own a p car in a few years when the previous owner of my z gives me a call and sells his 911 turbo off. It is a 86 turbo, that is built crazy fast. I don't think I will ever own a new vehicle myself again. Even when I buy for my company. I bought a new car just before I graduated college, stupid mistake. I should have used the money to go down on a house. It is all good though. I do like the MKV supras. 2 door killer with just enough room for 2 car seats in the back for my girls.....
