  1. I want the p-car under the z........ Good luck with helping out. Tony, I think you need to add to your collection. I mean you are already coming to Texas to pick up parts from me. Why not go coast to coast?
  2. Do you have any other profile shots of the hood. Down position?
  3. Looks like I will hit them up on Thurs night for dinner...
  4. North side, near airport. 2 or 3 exits north of I-10 on 410
  5. Centerforce=trash......IMO. i had a dual force clutch i toasted very quickly
  6. Anyone have any good places to go after work? I am on the north side of town off of 410....
  7. As usual.... the plan evolves. I have purchased a LS3 (L92) from a 09 Denali, a built t56 transmission, custom ground billet cam, and a maggie blower for the car. I am currently sourcing a full rearend to swap. My Turbo Tom motor was purchased from the guy who bought the kit from me. I also sold him a fully built turbo motor that had a bunch of special parts on it ( for next to nothing.) I should have asked for more money but he was in the right place at the right time. I have funds for the swap and have started to move forward on this project. I have had the factory seats refinished in leather and suede so those are going in when the car gets back from the shop. I do not have the time to put into this to keep the project going so I have had to farm out the project to a local shop that does good work. I have all new gauges going in the car as well. Since I sold all of my Stewart Warner gauges as well. I wanted to start with a clean slate and keep the car for many years. I just have suspension and brakes to work out ( which I am in the process of) and then I should be done with the mechanical aspect of the build. I will post up some pics of the progress once the car gets over to the shop. I am pulling the rest of the drivetrain out and will deliver them a shell to work with.
  8. @mark. what kind of whp are you putting down?
  9. Thanks for the video.... that put a smile on my face....so the "ole' cage talk" lol........ you really have me wondering if I am just plain stupid for putting a s/c on my ls3 conversion........what is done is done....
  10. I have an extra set of vents somewhere in my garage. As well as a Datsun emblem. Let me know if you want to "borrow" them.
  11. 70S30 is what I currently have.... but that will change as soon as it is back on the road....
  12. You drive more when you are trying to achieve a goal, and humiliate others along the way. I need videos please!!!! I have parts, just not in the car!!!!
  13. LT1 T56....weak sauce for what I am going to be throwing at it!!! lol I picked up a built T56 locally for a good price........ Thanks for the info. It was me asking u questions on ls1tech, by the way.
  14. The cam is a custom grind Billet unit. I will get the specs on the cam in a bit. I just dropped off the transmission off at the shop where all of my parts are currently at. Call me what you will but I know when I am in over my head. With this build, well I am. I can do the simple swap stuff but this full swap into my 1970 240Z I feel would be best done by the professionals. not a bro-fessional like my self in this arena. I will be updating my build thread as there is progress in the coming months Thank you for all of the responses and information.
  15. I thought I got it for a steal. I don't want to have to pull the transmission any time soon so I might just go ahead and get rid of the clutch.......I am new to the LS world so it is good to hear that I have a decent set of parts in the pieces I am putting into the car. I had a budget but.... it has been blown....If I would not have bought the magnacharger I would not be so bad off......
  16. I have been called worse. all jokes aside I did put a deposit on a built t56 this am. I will first have to get used to the car so I think that this transmission will last a while during the OGM what did I just build phase..... as I get out of that phase and into the OK let's see what it will do phase I will start to look at other options. I bought a built T56 with: LS7 clutch Tick Master Master Cylinder B&M ripper Shifter Steel 3/4 fork Carbon blocker rings on all forward gears Upgraded second gear Billet 3/4 syncro solid 1/2 keys Bronze fork pads 1-6 Modified reverse syncro All new needle bearings I will most likely have to upgrade the clutch but this is a good start for 1800.00
  17. Still would be around 3-4000 after all is said in done..... it is only money right? I am about to score a t56 for around 1800.......
  18. I am going to look at a T56 that was built by Late Model Racecraft. I keep going back to a T56. I have always believed a stick should be in a sports car. I will go to the track but not enough to justify not being able to play with a 6 speed....... I now need to sort the 8.8 conversion for the rearend....
  19. @LanceVance Have you made any progress? I will be working on my aero attachments to the car as time progresses. How are you coming along with your install?
  20. I am trying to get a feel for transmissions that guys have installed behind their LS motors. I am currently in the process of my swap I have the good stuff LS3, cam, and a Magnacharger. I am trying to plan out the rest of the build accordingly. The combo I have has been proven to put 577 rwhp. To me: Transmission is going to dictate what rearend I put in the car. Auto: I have a chance to get a built 4l60e from a GTO that was built with stall and internals. Manual: I have a chance to get a built T56 for a reasonable price. Rearend: I have been leaning towards the 8.8 set up as I think it offers the most in gearing and options. This car is a weekend car, toy. I would like to play on the track from time to time, and take it to work ( where ever that will be). I have ALWAYS had a stick in a sports car. I am being told that I can put the power down and still have fun in an auto. I am looking to see what others have done, and opinions.
  21. I am looking for a T56 with bellhousing for a LS motor in GOOD condition. I have cash in hand.
  22. Will.... stop posting on here and get to it!!!! SUNNY Z, well done! keeps me inspired. I am currently in the process of my LS swap parts aquisition. I would be interested to hear about your rearend set up.
