I thought the system was interesting. It goes on the existing coil over system that the car has. I thought it was cool in the fact that you can have coil overs set and get the ride height adjustable from in the cab. I talked to him today. No way I would spend what he wants for it. I don't get how it would not effect the coil over performance. However he says that the system is inactive and goes back to the ride height set by the coilovers.
I think it has promise....
I talked to the guy, he is putting this system on Lambos, NSX, and GT-r cars currently.... opinions.....It is from Umbrella Auto Sport, it is their Variable Ride Height suspension system.
So not good news. I am pissing oil from all over the back of the motor. So that means that I will have to drop a lot of money to get the car fixed or I can bring it home and start doing some other things myself. Since work is slow with barely enough money to keep my head above water I am in a big predicament. In addition to that my second daughter is about to arrive in 7 weeks so I will be pinching pennies anyway. I am caught between a rock and a hard place. I want this car running but I don't think it is going to happen any time soon. With that said I have a few options.....
1. Sell it and be done with it.
2. Bring it home pull the motor and attempt to do the repairs myself, keeping the Turbo Tom kit on it.
3. Bring it home strip the Turbo Tom kit off and sell it down to the long block, save money up, go EFI and be more modern.
Suggestions? I really don't want to sell this car... but all I see are dollar signs going off in my head.
Dropped the car at PowerFab on Friday. Throwing it on the dyno to see where I am at..... Fingers are crossed. I should have some video when it happens. I told them to take their time I am not in a hurry.
Wet sand 1500, then 2000..... BE CAREFUL. sand in a "X" pattern to be sure you sand from all angles, dont sand in circles........
It depends on how many coats of base, color and clear are on the part.....
My car has all of the add-ons that he offered at the time. I have noticed that my Holley is different than the one in the pictures, both of my manifolds are different as well. It seems as though my turbo mani is an o.e.m. manifold with a flange welded onto it, a wastegate adaptor welded at the bottom, the intake that I have does not have the "TURBO TOM " stamped in to the cast of it. My water injection system tank is different than the one that is shown in the literature above. I guess my kit was one of his first runs.... Not sure. I do know that Tom was flown out to tune the car after it was put together.

I scanned in most of the TT documents that I have been sitting on. I think I am the only one that has them up on the net... don't know for sure. Anyway. I have more stuff from the motor build of the car that I will post up as well.
This is most of the TT stuff that I have. I do however have some other documents from CARTECH on their set ups as well as the build notes from my motor build up. I will include this stuff in my build thread so that it is documented for others to see. Or not...... if you guys want me to pout up more info let me know.
I saw someone at 1:30 on Sunday in a metallic grey 280Z it had out of state plates...maybe Nevada....... sounded nice, clean car.... I am curious to see if it was someone here on hybridz.... I have seen the car on here before... Chris was it you?
Meh...... I haven't been able to do much of anything just drive it around the hood. I am going to bring it to a shop and have them fix the oil leak. I am working out an exchange of parts in the near future. I will update again as soon as I do anything new.
I should be able to hit 11.2 all day long with my set up. TT kit with water/methanol, and two stages of nitrous. I have not gone to the track yet. It should be say with the right launch.... There is plenty of info here on the TT kits here, if you don't see what you need pm me. I have all toms old literature, and install information.
