  1. Force Fed Racing.... I believe.
  2. Just talked to him. he is curently working with the fiberglass shop on pricing and production. He is frustrated at the current vendor tha the is using. They seem to not follow through or grasp deadlines.... He is changing production companies and prosmises to respond to all who have emailed, and called. @rb26, he did mention about the carbon fiber scoop as well...... So there still is hope......
  3. I was just told that I should have my car back on Friday.... I will be leaving town to Dallas, and will not have time to pick it up before I leave out of town.... I wonder what my wife would say if I backed out of the trip to play with my car. Prob, not a good idea so I will have to wait 'till Mon. of next week to get the car....
  4. This is a means to an end for me. I have a Turbo Tom set up and need to have access to air for the carb. I can not do a cold air intake becuse I have kept my car old school. I have some "top secret" vents I am considering installing that I will rid the engine bay of excess heat and air near the front. I had purchased them when I had my IS300 for a turbo swap that I did not get a chance to get to. I have kept them cause they are not common. I just want to get more air pulling through a specific are near the carb. This is a good way for me to achieve what I want by keeping it era specific. @RB26powered74zcar, are you willing to pass me his phone # via pm so that I can start calling. I am used to nagging people, being in the construction industry, I have to do it constantly day to day...... sad really..
  5. The head checked out and is back from the machine shop this AM. They are putting it all back together.... Here are some pics of the manifolds and downpipe. I know it is hard to see the intake being that it is sitting in my driver's side floorboard, but that is what I have to work with for now. Hopefully soon some more pics and videos by the end of the coming week.
  6. I have emailed this guy for info on the scoop and he has not returned my emails.......
  7. Seems to be a few people chomping at the bit to get these wheels......... me being one of them. It is these or a set of J Line ( I know no compairison)
  8. Do you have a link to said radiator?
  9. As always things seem to change. The head is being pulled off this weekend, Monday it is being sent to a machine shop to be tested for warping and leaks. The guy doing the work on my car for me, has just told me he would feel better if we did this rather than just putting on a new gasket and running with it. I agree. They will also clean the valves while they have it. So it looks like the first part of Aug will be the start up time. hopefully we will be able to dyno it at that time....... When the car get back here to the house I will be replacing all of the u-joints. I ordered replacements and they are here waiting. I am curious to find out what diff is in the car as I was told it was changed out, the p/o is not sure if it is a r200 or a r180. Just add it to the list of things that will be done to the car....
  10. I am fillin my holes and powdercoating/painting my bumpers front and rear. Or you can just purchase some fiberglass ones and paint them...... Big money for the euro bumpers...
  11. I would be in for a 17x8.5 +4 on all 4. I actually have money in hand. I was about to buy a set of RB-R's. Any ideas of how long it will be until they are ava.?
  12. DUH.... I ment the Direzza Star Specs..... Sorry I know I should not type and drive at the same time.... I have really got to stop....lol.
  13. I will be going from a 195/14 to a 245/ 17. So I will grip a bell of a log more. I think I will start out with the blizzaks. Then go from there.
  14. Intake manifold is back from powdercoating. Exhaust manifold and downpipe are back from the coating as well. I coated it with a Aerospace coating. Kind of ironic cause Tom used a paint to paint the manifolds in the past that was fromthe aerospace industry as well, just a few years differance (1978 vs. 2011) It is Metco 204, white in color. This will just force me to wrap part of the exhaust that is under the car with a header wrap that I already have to keep the cabin cool. I will eventually get some RAAM mat and install that in the car as well...... I have a little idea that I am going to do on the intake manifold..... Any Turbo Tom fans out there hit me up if you like the pic below and I can get you some of what I had made....... The car should be running in about 2 more weeks. I am working around a friend's schedule along with juggling my life as welll.
  15. Never in the rain, or wet. I will be tackling the rest of the weak points with a r200, and a z32 5-speed. The car will be street driven 80% of the time, then the other on a track. Let's just say I was known to hit 100+ in my is300.
  16. I am about to purchase new wheels and tires. The wheels will be 17". I am looking at 245/45/17 or 245/40/17 tires. I am seriously considering the BFG KDw. But I am having a hard time justifying the price. What are others running or suggest? Opinions wanted. The car will be in the 400whp area when finished on a few weeks.
  17. To be honest... It looks out of place. You have one side and not the other. The light does not seem to be fluid in the ring ( i.e. it does not fill up the ring.) It does not go all of the way around the tach. I would suggest doing something to make it look like a better finished product.
  18. Does the scoop flex at speeds? I think it is a great idea, but if it flexed at speed.. it would only be a matter of time before it became two pieces.....
  19. I took the wastegate apart just to check the bladder for leaks, of tears. It is perfect. The wastegate itself was stuck closed. After some coaxing with a hammer, a rachet extension, and some P B Blaster, it is smooth as butter. Good thing I did not beat on the car without checking. The wastegate recirculates back into the exhaust. I do not have bov. I am considering one..... but then it will be obvious to others that I am boosted. I like having the element of surprise...... This week I will paint the block and get it ready for the build back.
  20. Progress is being made. I ust dropped off my manifold. To a place out in the sticks North of Houston. They are coating the manifold and the down pipe with the same coating that is on Military jets on the inside of the jet housing ( where the flame comes out). It will be a ceramic type coating that will keep it cool to the touch even after hard runs. I will take come temp measurements once the car is up and runing. I was going to coat the hot sid eof the turbo but it already has a new gasket from the rebuild. I did not want to pry it off and potentially ruin it....I will drop off my intake manifold to get powercoated today as well. I am about to start the build back and get her on the road. I am now trying to find out more information on the Dial-a-boost wastegate that I have on the car. It looks pretty worn out. I am going to open it up to see if it just needs to be cleaned. Here are some pics of what I have so far....
