You are getting me to lean that way as well. But I think that if I go to EFI I want to have a RB26 under the hood.....although my motor is already built to the hilt. If I keep the L24 I need to get a intake manifold, turbo manifold, EMS, injectors, new fuel pump( might as well get a fuel cell while I am at it) and all of the other goodies. I would not know where to put the knock sensor though........

I have noticed a crack in my turbo manifold. I will fix it when I start the teardown of the turbo kit and send off the parts to be rebuilt/refinished. I am wondering if there is a certian type of weld that I should have done to it to help make it more secure. Mig, Tig.....I am not sure since I am not a welder.......After it is welded I will have it recoated with a heat resistant coating. Thanks Sean

9 times out of 10 if you are hearing something banging down the street and it is screwed/chopped it will be coming out of a 15" sub. Generally ( yes it is a general statment) people that listen to that type of music are using 15" subs so that all can hear you beffoe you get there. If you want clean sounds then I would suggest a pair of 8" subs or a single 10" sub.
-
The car is not going to catch fire there cheif.....
-
why the hell would you put a 15" sub in a car like ours? the bass has no time to mature and get the full feel of it. 15" subs are sloppy especially in a small cabin like we have........unless you want to be like a brother drivin down the street in the hood..........

Does the flocking come in variations of thickness and texture? Color, does it go more gray or black?

this is a seat that I am considering other than the Corbeau A4. I just wonder about the seat brackets and sliders.

I have HLS300000806. I have only seen one other lower than mine in person HLS300000348, and that one just won a car show this past weekend in Houston. It is all original and was at the shop that had mine for repairs.

That is what that big blue bottle is for.........lol...No I haven't filled it up yet. I just got a reply from Davinci this morning and I am bringing the car to him on Friday. To be honest I love the kit that I have and want to get it up and running 100% ( John...) before I start to make any changes. My motor and head are fuly built for boost ( compression is all the way down to 7:1). I would love to do a RB 26 swap into the car, or a V8 boosted swap...I just don't know...I will however keep the Turbo Tom kit and get it dialed in prior to making any significant changes....( Electromotive XDi) LT280z: I guess you had the silver boosted 280 up with the other cars? Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with you. I had my dad and his best friend in full conversation the whole time we were there at the show talking about the "glory days" of the Z club. The previous owner of my car ( my dad's best friend) was a charter member of the Z club of Houston.....

I will be in on the funding of this test. I missed out on the last test.

Update.... I went to the car show and the Z died as we were pulling in the parking lot. I noticed that after driving it for a while it was jerking a little bit and not responding as it was previously. I was paying attention to the fuel PSI and it was remaining constant, my temps were rall good ( oil, water) and my oil pressure was good as well. I am not sure what the deal was. Then on the ride back home the car died as traffic died it would start up after coasting for a little while in traffic, I was backfireing more as I drove it more. The Z died 4 more times on the ride home, now this is a 55 mile trip one way. I dropped the car off at my parent's house since my Lexus was there I took that and had a BLOW OUT on the freeway at 5pm. I have no spare, no jack, not tools. So I inlisted the help of my father since he was just down the road. Got the new tire on and was back on the road by 7pm........fun day needless to say. I am calling DaVinci to adjust the carb and have him look at it. I think that the car is getting too much fuel cause it smells like it.......I will bring the car to him when he has time for me and I can get the car back to the house....

You sir have just aquired my respect. For one you were direct and to the point and did not try and pad the reasons for not produceing the panel. I appreciate that as well and I am sure others do to. I also respect you wanting to keep this at a reasonable price. I was only exploreing other options to see if I could assist others as well. I as you know have not been sucessful. I will purchase one of your panels when they are avalible, for sure. It says a lot for someone to do something for our cars that really don't have that much of a aftermarket selection.

Well I am at the muffler shop right now. I got a present from the ups guy last night 2.5 mandrel bends for the exhaust and well I just happen to have a HKS carbon-Titanium exhaust can laying in the garage. I am getting the exhaust refabbed right now prior to the Z Extravaganza today. I will let you guys know how it ends up. Hope to see a few of you out there. I am bringing my father ( x Vice-President) and his old buddy Jim Jones is supposed to show up in his crazy boosted 911.

I have looked into getting a mold made for the panel and start up a run on production however I was quoted around 400 for the panel and 800-1000 for the mold. It would be done as a injected mold rather than the old school way of making it. I personally think that was way too much but I will find out on monday if that is the final price. I am serious about this panel, I just don't want to fork out that much money for a panel. I don't mind putting up the money for the mold I just need to know that there would still be a interest in the panel and for what price? I would at least want to get my money back from the mold. That is what I can concerned about. I know there is interest but not sure how true it is.. If this goes well then I could start the process for other molds, fenders, hatches, full front valances.....the list in endless....

My secondaries do not or will not open untill they recieve vacum from the turbo housing. You guys are making me paranoid about stripping down my kit and putting it back together. I want to send everything off to get recoated all nice and new, but the mystery #6 is starting to make me wonder. I wonder if a change in the manifold design would help disperse gas/air mixture better?
-
Just out of curiosity what is really holding this back from being produced. Would the guy be willing to start the build process for these now that there is a significant interest in the tailpanel? Do you want deposits?
-
I have used Dynomat Extreme and it has been worth every penny. I used it from roof to floorand firewall to trunk lid in my IS 300. It made a huge differance. I have looked at the Elemental Design stuff and was going to use all of their stuff turn key for the S30 buildup. It is ironic that someone else recomends them, cause noone around me knows who the hell they are.

dash lights are not working, but the tail lights are. blinkers are working but no signification in the cabin, also I can not hear the "clicker" but the lights light up. I can hear the "clicker" when the hazzards are on but not the blinkers...I have such a long list of things to do to this car it is unreal. I think I am going to start on saving up for the coilovers first, and do the install myself.......I have acess to a welder and free lessons. I need to learn anyway.......
-
You should know not to be bashful. What do you need? Now tat the car is driveable or as my god father put it I am a day-go ( can only drive during the day due to no lights) I can drive it over to you to compair if need be. Just let me know. I will bring he car to Sterling McCall for the car show this weekend. check out www.zclubofhouston.com for other details.

OKAY IT IS UP AND ALIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I have made a few changes but they are for the betterment of the car and the kit. I have a laundry list of new parts on the car but the important thing is that she is alive and well. I have to take it easy for the next 400 miles due to the new clutch. The old one literally decinigrated ( dry rotted). One side of it was still good while the other was turned into dust. I put in a Centerforce Dual friction clutch to hold the car together for now. I have a commitment from my uncle to help me out when I need assistance. We will be putting a Arizona Z car brake kit on, coilovers, and a repaint by way of stripping it out all of the way to the metal.......( eventually). For now I need to get the lighting working on the car. I drove home with my wife and two dogs with no lights at 7pm....fun but scarry..... I am going to do a HID conversion as well as a surprise for the rear lighting.....I am awaiting the first weekin November to put classic plates on the car so that I will be all legal and not have to worry about anything. I have ordered mandrel bends for the new(old) exhaust from my IS 300 that will be welded up to the car this coming Sat. AM. I am going to use my Carbon-Titanium HKS can from the Lexus as that car is for sale. I am going to get everything mechanical up to date or my satisfaction prior to even starting the tear down for the paint and body work. I will also do the interior as well. This is all going to take time and money so it will be a long tedious process that I will enjoy but want over faster than I can afford. I don't want to burn any bridges with my wife ( newlywed), as I am also planning a build up of a 58' Apache 5-window ( Big Block) in the future as well. I will keep this thread updated as time goes on and changes are made to the car. I am planning on bringing my father out to the Sterling McCall Z Extravaganza this Sat. So I hope to see a few of you there.

I have looked on the EVO forums for those seats and no one is selling them....I guess I will have to keep looking or get a set of Corbeaus
