  1. 2JZ 550's are side feed, no way of making them work without a side feed fuel rail. Most Supra guys don't have anything good to say about Venom rebuilt injectors. I have seen some Honda guys running them though. There are RX7 injectors that are 550cc and have the same plug as your MKII injectors. They are high imp though. I have an extra set of 550's(actually in the car) but they have the square plug. You can get new plugs for $5 each.

  2. More back pressure and less power. The newer GT stuff is more efficient. There GT4088 on a 3.0 with a .81(PTE housing) will spool as fast if not a little faster than a 66-67mm turbo with an older P trim and .68. I'll see if I can find some GT35 dynos on a 3.0.

  3. 260 2+2's had R200's.

I tried running without the strap when I first got my car running and the nose of the diff lifted enough that the yoke/u joints hit my parking brake assembly in the tunnel. The mount was fairly new also. This was before I limited the diff movement.

  4. You mean the npr is better than the starion right? Today (April 1st) is my birthday so i'm trying to get something i really want....a big a$$ intercooler.

either a bar and plate about 24x12x4 or a large npr

    Thanks guys

IMO the Conquest/Starion one is way too small. I had one on my 71 Z and went with a Supra one, MKIII that is still on there. I run the 24x12x4 on my 73'. You will have to cut the core support(a little) and run button head bolts for the hood or cut the in/outs off the tanks and weld new ones on. I cut the core support.

    There is this style too.

  5. It falls off a little but still makes as much at 7k as it does at 5.5k, probably 5k if it didn't have that funny dip.. Ya, I have a cam sitting there just waiting to go in. Smaller turbos do make more torque way down low but how many times have you needed all that torque at 3k? It's like prefering a Harley and it's low power output over an R1 just because of the bottom end torque.

  6. A 2500 rpm power band which is nice on the street. A straight T4 on a L28 will only start to build boost at 3500 and maybe get max boost by 4000 rpms then the cam is done by 5000. Not a good street engine with a very narrow power band. Sure' date=' a T4 could make more peak power even with the stock cam but that isn't the only way to determine a good matched setup.

Try comparing the torque and hp of a straight T3 versus a straight T4 on a L28 at from 2500 to 3500 rpm.[/quote']

True it spools later but the stock cam will work. Torque between 2500 and 3500 doesn't matter unless I'm towing. This is with a stock cam and exhaust manifold, stock bore and stroke, actually it is an unkown junk yard motor with stiffer valve springs. Full T4 (O trim turbine).Yes it comes on later but it makes up for it and I have more than a 2500 rpm power band. Almost an extra 1000 rpms over your 2500 rpm power band.

  7. You're into rockcrawling too aren't you Clifton? Don't tell me you've never seen those guys overheat their brakes while going 3 mph. I've seen it, and I've only been out there a couple times.

Never. Must be a auto trans thing. Everyone I go with has Toy drivetrain except 2 and they are also manual. With over 120:1 gear reduction you don't use the brakes much. Maybe a light tap when cresting something so you don't drop hard. I've been to the drags before a few times. Never hot spotted my rears doing a burnout either.
