Wow guys, thanks for all the replies. It looks like you all recommend Canon, and some of you have a lower model than the A70 and still say its a good cam, which makes me feel good that the A70 itself is one of the better cams. The lady wants me to take a look at the Nikon Coolpics series digital cameras. Any feedback on those cams? http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=j&id=1990952779&clink=dmss/4300/ctx=sc:alltech,c:cdigicamera,mid:6,pid:1990952779,pdid:6,pos:1&__yltc=s:41258547,d:57690343,w:t,k:4300,pdid:6,id:1990952779,pos:1,ppos:0 Really leaning toward the A70. Is it possible to upgrade the memory on the A70. Also, how does one transfer pics to a computer? USB cable?

Why not make it easy? torque 1. The moment of a force; the measure of a force's tendency to produce torsion and rotation about an axis, equal to the vector product of the radius vector from the axis of rotation to the point of application of the force and the force vector. 2. A turning or twisting force. horsepower 1. A unit of power in the U.S. Customary System, equal to 745.7 watts or 33,000 foot-pounds per minute. Im sure millions of people will have their own little ways of explaining the above 8)

If you've ever run your ZT w/o muffler please chime in here!
David K replied to a topic in Turbo / Supercharger
Anything in the exhaust tract will muffle sound. Yes im talking about N/A in my reply, but i think at idle, the sound of the 2 engines arent all that different....well maybe...just by a little im sure. You could always have them weld a resonator right after the cat, if you are running a cat. Are you? I remember when i got my first set of headers on my old 79. Racket it was! I had to drive 10 miles to a muffler shop owned by a Z guy, in the late morning, with open headers On a good note, a buddy of mine i just called said the turbo they installed on the family Patrol, quieted the engine noise down a lot 8) -

People like Tyson dont live in a HUGE metro area with lots of traffic, like we do. I used to have a 2.5 inch OPEN exhaust on my 79. In traffic, i wanted to pull my hair out, because you cannot relax with the engine rumbling and screaming out of that exhaust pipe. You can get relatively cheap and ok quality mufflers from Pep Boys or Auto Zone. before i ditched that 79, and got my current 79, i bought a Cherry Bomb Turbo II Muffler from Auto Zone for $30, and it was ok. I made sure my buddy welded the can where the inlet pipe went in, so it would not seperate and leak, as those cheap mufflers are just pressed together. It gave the car a very nice rumble, and it was quiet. Im sure that exact muffler comes in 3 inch if you need it, mine was 2.5 $30 and 1 hour cutting and welding. 8) -
My mother is coming down from Colorado to see the baby again (3 ms old), and my brother who just came in from the sand box (iraq), who is staying with me for a week or 2. My brother is driving back to colorado with my mother to spend a few days with her, then driving to georgia, to report back for duty. While my mother is down here, she mentioned she would like to purchase a gift for the lady and i, so i decided a new digital camera would be nice. What do you gentlemen and few ladies who are out there suggest? Im really leaning toward the Canon PowerShot A70 http://shopping.yahoo.com/shop?d=j&id=1991238533&clink=dmtop5-el-simple-cdigicamera Thats around the price range i feel comfortable springing on my mother, lol. Seems to be between $250-$320.

I had to get in on this. I went into a secret box of parts in the garage they provide, and whipped out some special parts. Hey, who tagged HybridZ on the wall?

Ive never had to pull a motor to change freeze plugs. For the big freeze plug, all you need to do is drop the tranny, drill a hole in the plug, and use a puller, or something to pry it out USING the hole you drilled. The small freeze plugs on the block are easy cake to get to. Just drill hole in middle, pull. How did you remove the old freeze plugs before rebuilding the engine? If you pryed the out from the sides, you could have damaged the block, causing leaks.

Nissan/Datsun Junkyards in Southern California
David K replied to demon's topic in 6 Cylinder Z Forums
Hi Amir, I live in Long Beach, and across the LA river in Wilmington, there are 2 yards across the street from each other owned by Pick a Part, and down the block there is an Ecology. They are both big yards. Good selection of Z stuff at all of them. Both of them are right off Pacific Coast Hwy, near the 710 Fwy. Santa Fe Springs has an Ecology. Its located on Imperial Hwy, just east of Carmentia Ave. Anaheim has a Pick a Part on Beach Blvd/Ball Rd. There are lots more, i cant remember them all. Shoot me an email if/when you are looking to go part hunting. 8) -

Cops can still get you for giving it gas to intimidate a person on another car, even if you arent anywhere near the speed limit.

I dont understand politics, it bores me. I would like somebody to take some time and explain what would happen if Arnold took office. Please leave your opinions aside, and give me facts. 8) -

konig Monsoon Wheels
David K replied to nightlightsnyny's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
You probably need bolt on spacers for those wheels. Ross C could help you with a nice setup http://www.modern-motorsports.com/ -
Wow! I supported the car on stands, and loosely installed the sway bars. I then dropped the car and drove it around the block, came back, added 500 pounds in weights to the car (driver and passenger...more on my side hehe), then tightened the nuts down to 22 pounds. The car needs an alignment, but it sure wants to eat the road more! Even when im going straight it feels better!!!
-
Sounds like im going to install the sway bars off the ground loose, then lower the z to the ground and drive it around the corner to get the wheels back in line, then tighten the nuts. Thanks all.
-
Do i need to install the sway bars when the car is on the ground, or when the car is up on jackstands? Do i need to tighten the nuts on the sway bar link as tight as i can, or is there a spec? Urethane bushings. Ive had these parts for 2 years, finally putting them on.

Theres nothing wrong with it. The women are out there on their own want, and nobody is even close to forcing them to do it. They are firing the paintballs at 200mph. The women know about the dangers of flying objects, part of being an adult. Its not going to damage the 'credibility' of the sport, I see nothing wrong with it, just a bunch of adults doing stupid things.....the same as sky diving, deep sea diving, stuffing v8's into little coke can cars, etc. I play once in a while. Yes i come home with welts, cuts, bruises, etc, but they are damn cool!!! Some of the comments on this thread sound like they are coming from sensitive homemakers

Plenty of guys up here in the LA area that would do it if you leave your z with them for a few days!

12mm bolt on the passenger side of the block. 12mm nut holding it to a pulley. 2 12mm bolts holding it to the manifold. PULL THE INJECTORS AND RAIL TOGETHER, no doubt they will be fused together by now. 2 Fuel lines Plugs on harness. Good luck.

Ever notice cars run better when you run the pee out of them? Whenever i drive my car 'normal', it starts having problems and running bad. Then i drive it hard, and no more problems. -
R200's also came in the 280zx GLL models. Thats fully loaded, full power, etc. Ive had nothing but r200's in my 280zx's.
