let me go to sleep and read my stupid post tommorow morning. I now remember i had a discussion about this topic with a friend a while back and i knew the facts......sheesh

My black zx was very hot in the daytime, and the white 77 stayed a world of difference cooler. Just applying these to the engine, not sure if i would get the same results under a closed hood.

Its time to spray my f54 block thats on the stand. Whats the best color other than Nissan baby blue or white to reflect heat? I was thinking a flat grey to match the head would be nice.

Fuel pump not holding pressure in the lines? Sounds like you let it sit overnight, and the fuel drains back into the tank in reverse. That would make sense if you have to crank it for a few times before you get anything, and it runs rough for a while. Just a thought.

The P90a is a hydraulic head, but it also came as solid. The p90a he is using is going to have solid lifters from an n47 or p79. The reason for the solid lifters is the wilder cam.

greetings my fellow hybridz indulgees, Im gathering info for a buddy building an N/A L6 to go into a 240. Parts to go on this engine are as follows. Triple Solex's Mikuni manifold cam (new lash pads, etc) header f54 block flat pistons p90a solid lifters The head is going down to the machine shop sometime next week. Its for sure going to get the .08 shave and shim. We are both wondering if we could take off more material, like .10 or .12? We are concerned about valve/piston interference.

DAW, What are you talking about man? The majority of L6'ers in the turbo forums are doing stuff to the turbo engines that originally dont belong. If you cut those people off, which i gotta say are probably 50% of this site, ......take it from there.

Are you sure your cam gear didnt come off? A timing chain coming apart, thats rare, Good luck.

Hi Lee, When did Ford take over Mazda? I know the ford ranger and mazda truck are the same under the looks now. Maybe you can get something from the ford ranger, or maybe a bigger ford truck?

jonzer12 You sound like you give a lot for this woman. Explain to her this is YOUR hobby, and its one of the things that will keep you happy over the years, her being the #1 thing. Its not about money or material things, its about doing something you enjoy, your passion, your time away from the harsh world to go sit in the garage, listen to some tunes, and wrench away. I feel that if a woman isnt willing to at least halfway accept your passions, then she isnt worth being with at all. Too many women out there who want it their way, or no way at all. Their way usually consists of locking you down and basically 'changing' who you are. If a couple needs to 'sit down' and sort things out before a marriage, they slowly start thinking that getting married isnt even worth the bother. Like some others said in this thread, find a middle ground. It may be hard as you tell us she doesnt have many expensive hobbies, but tell her once you finish the car, you AND her will take it out on drives, dinners, movies, vacations, etc. That may open her eyes My woman LOVES to go to the junkyard with me. She has a wagon and a toolbox. We split up and meet up later to share our finds with each other. She helped me lift a transmission in our G20. She does her own oil change, she helped me lift engines out of the Z and take them apart. I love my chick! Maybe it will help if you asked her to come out and help you once in a while? You and her under the Z on creepers, you telling her what this and that is, showing her how things work? An addiction has to start somewhere, and if you get her into your Z, you should have a free for all from that day on, lol 8)

I missed the registration deadline. I would vote for Arnold for the main fact that he is going to kick some Indian Gaming ass! I used to live up in Highland right across the road from San Manual Indian Reservation and Casino. The land, homes, and automobiles these people have is just gross. Each and every one of the Indian families that live on the reservation own a mansion, and im not blowing facts into proportion! They have special laws for their little peice of land. If you go on to their property on the reservation, they can shoot you. Its time to make these people pay for their luxuries. So im listening to the news right now and i head something about women accusing Arnold for rape/assault? I dont know the specifics, but why now? Why not come out when the incident happened? I dont sympathize with publicity whores.

Its no use calling the CHP. In cali, if you call 911 from a cell phone, CHP picks up the call. The other night, pam and i were following a drunk driver that was trying his hardest to stay in his lane on the 710fwy. It was 2am. I called 911 and waited for 10 minutes before i got a live operator. By this time we already followed him from the 710, down Anaheim Blvd, to his HOUSE! The guy already went in. The CHP finally picked up the call and transferred me to the Long Beach PD. The lady was quick on the PD side, but the CHP pickup has to be addressed. 10 minutes, im not kidding, i could crash off the side of the road, and blead to death before my call is even picked up! And yes, they do have a token voice that says "your call will be answered by the next available operator". I couldnt believe it!

I was driving home in the G20 from dropping the lady off at work. Im about 6 miles from home, when this chevy truck comes speeding on the freeway from the onramp, and cuts across 4 lanes of traffic and cuts me off a few INCHES from my bumper, and im in the #1 lane!!! The guy would have knocked me into the guard rail if i didnt slam on the brakes. I honked the horn, and the guy slammed on his brakes and i almost rear ended him. I move over to the #4 lane and try to stay out of his way. His passengers were flipping me off, yelling things out the window at me. The driver moves the truck over to the #3 lane beside me and jerks the wheel as to run me off the road. I rolled down me window and told him to stop because i had my 5month old son in the back seat, and i pointed to my baby. The guys kept trying to run me off the road and i eventually got off the freeway a split second before i couldnt make the offramp by cutting over the solid lines, and i almost hit the barriers. What the hell is wrong with people? If i had a gun with me, this probably would have been one of those cases that someone got their brains splattered all over the freeway. Thank god i dont carry a gun!
