I want to be at the meeting spot at 5pm and start up around 515-530 so we can get at least halfway for the sunset and get a group photo of our cars with the view in the background. let me know if you want to go cuz im going to be lonely.
  2. i bet if you order the kit, itll show up at your door with a 10mm wrench and a peice of paper telling you to turn your distibutor clockwise.
  3. man i am tired of hearing about all these body shops screwing cars up. Damn them! Dude why dont you take it bacn and have them fix it or pay for it to be fixed? Dont let them do you man.
  4. i thought if you run a cam you should increase the fuel intake.
  5. well i got my hands on 6 brand new pistons for a 350sb. will these work on the nissan l28 connecting rods? can the l28 take the chevy pistons without going too much over the block is unusable?
  6. If anybody wants to meet up tonight (i knows its last minute) i am driving San Gabriel Canyon up as fas as i can go. 10. Silvia - SR20DET 1998cc EFI DOHC 16-valve 4cyl turbo Horse Power: 205hp @6000rpm Torque: 274Nm @4800rpm RWD 5-speed and computer(ECU) i dont know what some of you meant by an sr20det not having enough TQ?!?!?!. hell thats more than what my 280zx has and my car is nice off the line.
  11. ummm, no you dont. why is it that the majority of z guys think that the 240 is a blessing? I would give a 280zx that ran better and faster and outhandled a 240z way more respect because of the difficulty of getting it right and the amount of crap that the zx has. 240z's are not the answer to everything. BTW i have been enjoying this thread in a friendly and educational way very much.

  13. you guys go ahead and do the rb swap and ill do the sr20. when we both break down and need parts or a new engine, we will see who is on the road quicker.
  14. excuse me, im just correcting the second post on the bang for your buck part.
  15. Jason, infiniti g20 also shares the sr20de non turbo. also these engines are a dime a dozen from an engine importer if you look in the right place. Im sure the SE-R Club of America would be hapy to hear from whoever does the sr20 thing.
  16. the sr20det is not just for a small car. do you know you can get these things up to 300hp on stock internals? The sr20det is also in the 180sx, and guys use them in their 240sx's. Now the weight is about the same for an old z and these 240-180sx's. The sr20det is light also. It would make for a great handling car. If you got a few bucks to up the boost and cool it, go with the sr20det. some of these guys dont know what they are talking about.

  18. desert crisis is kinda fun and i also started playing Tour of Duty. ToD will be great once they send out updates to the first one to get rid of bugs and add more cool stuff. Im thinking of expanding my west coast clan to ToD once we grow bigger.
  19. yes, a job rating of 1 on my 1-10 scale.
  20. did i mention i love you guys? nah i dont think i did
  21. yes but he also said he was interested in the 280's. Now that would be plug and play for everything. Change out the fuel pump, have the exhaust fixed a bit, and you are set. Turbo components all plug and play in a 77-78 harness.
  22. Vrooom Vrooom (V8), pssssst pssssst (L28et) hehe
  23. im sorry i have to step in here and offer my opinion. The guy is brand new to datsun and he may not be up for the 350 swap right away. I also dont believe that 350's are all that great that most of the people here claim they are. But also keep in mind i have been in a 350sb Z a few times and woooooooweeeeeee! NICE! I stand by what i say here. the best bang for your buck has got to be the turbo L28. whatcha gonna spend on something like that? Id say about $400 tops for the engine running if you look around and get a proper deal. The engine drops right in and still uses the stock mounts for everything engine and tranny. i dont see how much easier it can get than that. on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the most difficult, the turbo engine would be a 1 on my scale. Ask tony fruzza and other turbo L28 guys and im sure they will also agree with me. When that boost kicks in, goodbye mr V8.
