  3. im sorry to burst your n/a bubble, but if you wanna build an n/a motor with that kind of hp, you will spend WAY more cash than if you just built a mild turbo motor that would put out more power.
  4. hey guys im going to find a cool place around here in socal and set up a weekly nissan car show. down in irvine off of El Toro road, they have this classic car show every week. Also in Garden Grove, they have this Classic Car show also. and there are many places that do this Classic Car show thing. I wanna hold a weekly nissan car show. How many of you would attend? anybody have ideas for locations and times? let me know and i will go talk to them and set it up.

  11. why yes sir there is. it shall be a little 10mm bastard!

OH YEAH,,,,DOH!!!!! you have to remove the oil pump/distributor shaft to remove the front cover. there is a hole in the cover that holds the shaft. you have to take down the oil pump on the bottom of the motor and the shaft falls right out. 4 12 mm bolts. important to remember which bolt went where cause they are different lengths. you then have to reset the timing. post back when you get to this point.
  13. hey guys, does anybody know how to completly install a GM alternator on an L28 block? Im so sick of my stereo killing my battery and alternator. Anybody have info on how to make the bracket and or specs on it?
  14. bang, the front cover may be stuck on. be careful taking it off, it is aluminum.

  16. bang, i dont have any shorts anywhere. its my system that is killing the stuff when i run it at night with the lights and all. yo, send me pictures if you can and all the info you have. im going to do it. i was thinking more of a GM alternator because i think it runs around 100amps. 90 is better than what i have now though.

  18. bang my fuel economy is better tha my F/i was. I go on forever, a few days, on $5 of gas. also i havent found a replacemetn set of carbs yet. email me and send me your # at home or cell.

  20. lone, i dont know what my car weighs, but it is probably as light as a 240z. My 280zx has everything either stripped put or things on the way out. my motor is just an l28 with su's. everything in the engine bay is gone. the interior is completly gone minus the door panels and the seats and the dash. the car is just basically a shell with seats and drivetrain. the reason it is stripped and torn apart is that im redoing everything one part at a time. I have stripped a few hundred pounds from the zx. now back to his 280zx. removing the ac will also make the apperance of the engine bay a bit more eye happy. I can also tell you when i removed the belt that drives the AC, before i removed the whole thing and the mounting plate under it, the engine would up lots faster. Now mack, if you wanna remove the AC, you should just go ahead and remove the cooling fan and install electric fans if you havent already. this will drastically improve the revs on your motor. do you have power steering?
