yes you are correct. dont over richen it, it will sputter. dont over lean it, it will die a horrible death and the engine will see like it is suffocating.
ok i know this is wayyyyyyyy off topic but i just ran into some
problems at my girlfriends house in Norwalk that involves TONS of
small trees and i need to cut them down, bundle them, and have them
curbside by Monday morning. Does anybody have a gas powered chainsaw
they are willing to loan me for a day or 2? Dont worry i dont jack
stuff.
i need it today or tommorow morning if possible and i will come
pick up with a big smile on my face )))

you should stick with that head. Im guessing if you are asking what head is the best, you really dont know much about the L series engine. stay with your current head and put the money/work elsewhere like exhaust and intake.
Maybe since the springs are so stiff, the valves are not staying open long enough at high rpms as in a normal engine they will float a bit under the same rpms therefor the valves are almost as good as shut???
wow i forgot about the main bolts. Yeah now that i think about 15 psi pounding down on those suckers i am gonna beef them up too. For good minds sake i also have the turbo head bolts.
no im just gonna use the stock n/a pistons, stock crank, and stock rods. i just wanna make sure it all stays together
i dont wanna keep boosting and then break some funny stuff. what do you recommend i use along the lines of pistons and rods?
hows your project coming along? as i can recall we are in competition to build a turbo engine, remember?
my AIM is black79280zx
i think in cali if you refuse to take the test they can automatically take you in. this could work with or against you. You may be able to get out of it since they didnt take a test on the road, but a prosecutor or judge can be stubborn and believe you refused to take the test because you were drunk.
BTW were you drunk? sorry to say if you were, i think you need to pay up because i for sure dont want a drunk driver on my public roads.
im prepping the block for turbocharging. im taking every step i can ahead of time to relax me and assure me my engine isnt gonna blow up this time round. I also wanna take advantage of my new oil pump.
thanks tempe.
which part number on http://summitracing.com would be best for the setup im building?
ARP-202-6003
or
ARP-202-5406?
thanks ahead of time.
ok here is the number one oil squirter
number 2 oil squirter in middle of block.
Can i drill the squirter all the way to the iron material? or should i drill halfway in between the existing hole and the outer part of the squirter?
Remember i am using a high capacity oil pump so i dont think starvation would be a problem.
