Does anyone have the original post photos available? I would need the push rod measurement instructions and photos without the tool.

Bilstein has not come to mind, but now I think I all the available options checked now. - Bilstein. Too expensive. The rabbit shock is 250€ one corner. Bc coilovers are cheaper - KYB. Those are only available in USA, not part of European stock. - Stagg. I have reached to stagg to get the available dealers in Europe, but they have not responded. - Koni. Their selection is at least in reds easily available. Also the yellows are around 150€/corner normally. I'll think I will go with Koni. Now I just need the part number of the yellow ones, which can be used with 280z. Does koni's require modifications to strut housing? Or could I just go with koni reds and eibach or vogtland lowering springs? This I noticed when I read the suspension modification thread again.

Stagg shocks would be great. I just thought that those are only available in US. Do you happen to know who is the distributor?

I don't have personal experience, but what I have understood from MSA and some of the threads here KYB's wear out much quicker when used with lowering springs. That's why I used not suitable.

I have been reading this thread and others in the suspension section on the forum, but I haven't come across the information I'm looking for. I would like to lower my 78 280z with vogtland springs, but I do not know which struts to use. To my knowledge KYB's are not suitable with lowering springs. Then there is koni's race and non-race, bilstein etc. Now I'm confused which one's to get. Also while I'm located in Europe, I would like to use local dealers to find the parts. Just reduce costs by avoiding custom charges. So my question would be, that what would be good option for my needs and do happen to know the part numbers for the struts?

You're right. I actually put the rectangular piece just to take a picture and confirm the place. I was so excited to find the place for the tube. 😁 It was easier to install when the dash was on and it came there in a completely different way.

I don't know if this was what you meant but this the place where it goes. All the marks on the tube fit perfectly. The tube I was asking is on the right. This is different from 76 dash.

This part is from a 78 280z. Thanks for the tips, but if you are correct I would need another similar tube? Unfortunately I haven't seen similar tube. Also I saw a eBay add which had only one tube and the air vents. I have building my forever restoration project for three years. Lot things are missing but this tube i cannot figure where it belongs. Could you guys give me a hint?it belongs some under the dashboard, but I cannot figure out where.

Thanks everybody for your help. The loud bang comes the striker and after adjusting the striker, the door closes properly and functions ok.

Unfortunately I'm not able to provide a video yet. But based on your suggestion, I adjusted the striker and now the problem is almost gone. Door doesn't move inside that much, but still there is quite a bang when closing the door. I will probably order new strikers and see how they work. Thanks for your help.

I have been trying to figure out what's wrong with my 280z doors. Car is from 1978. Both have the same issue. The problem is that when door is closed. It can be pushed gently inwards quite a bit. So probably when driving it will make a big noise. When I shut down the door, it can be closed quite gently. No need to slam the door. I'm just in the middle of the rebuild and all the weatherstrips in the door are new. This problem was in the car before I started the rebuild. First thought that the reason is gunk in the locking mechanism and I have been cleaning brake cleaner to get the old grease away from the lock. That did not help. Also the hinges has been fixed, so they don't "hang" anymore. Does anybody have idea what could cause this problem? I can add tomorrow a video about this problem. Once I have figured out what's wrong with my video editor.

I would like to buy 280z door window frame, side window frame and lower window chrome part(sorry, I do not know what's called officially). BJSZED, how those gt3's work with seat belts? Are they good and tight or do you need 4 point harnesses?

Maybe my searching conditions were too tight, so least ease up them.I will prefer to have 280z, but 240z and 280z can be also offered. But I checked from 81 280zx diagram and it's not suppose to be empty. Neither should 80 or 82.
