  1. I'm new at this, so be gentle if I post something incorrect or stupid...I just had Rebello port my P90 and the numbers are: 1) intake at 25 psi is 209; 2) exhaust at 25 psi is 150. This is the full race port, not the street port. Dave said this head flowed really really well. I'm hoping to get around 300-325 hp at 10 psi with my T3/T4.
  2. Front diff mount. usually $55 from MSA, maybe cheaper from other suppliers. Don't go with the solid, they're supposed to be really noisy and harsh ride.
  3. I'm not much of a hands on guy, so maybe someone who's built a T3/T4 hybrid can provide more detail. I just bought a T3/T4. T3 on the turbine side, T40E .57 trim on the compressor side. You get the advantage of quick spooling of the T3 with a lot more air flow of the T4. And the T3 bolts to your stock mani. I don't know this for sure, but I think once you get beyond the T3/T4 you pretty much have to have a hotter cam, better fuel management, etc. And maybe you can find a junkyard T4 for cheap and build the hybrid yourself. Just a thought....
  4. auxiliary, what jerryb means is we've been paying over $4/gallon for a long while. I remember paying $1.10/litre a couple of years ago and that translates into $4.18, never mind the exchange rate. And if the greenback keeps dropping, prices could be a lot higher....sucks for me a little because most of work is in the States, but I save a bunch cause the loonies now on par. Oh well....I'll ride my bike more I guess...
  5. The sand blasting place I use makes everyone wear a big helmet with air that hangs down over the chest...now I know why...Isn't this standard practice at all sand blasting places?
  6. Beautiful!! Now, can it go to $5 or $6 a gallon any time soon?? Disclaimer: I work in the oil patch....
  7. Lots of mods, but nothing that hasn't been done by someone else. But I do drive it long distances....From Calgary to Bakersfield CA 5-6 times a year and lots of times out to NM, Denver etc on the way home. This year I should put 40,000 to 50,000 miles on the car. Anybody driving more miles than that? Just curious....
  8. Pics, oh yeah....never posted pics here before. Assume pics have to be hosted somewhere else?
  9. Yeah, I put white Rustoleum on with a roller. Ton of work and I didn't have much time because I was taking the 77 280z down to California for the winter. Lots of orange peel and you can see the roller marks in lots of places. Tough though. I have some rock chips, but I drive on gravel oil lease roads a lot, one of the reasons I like Rustoleum, easy to re-do the paint. This summer I plan to buy a paint gun and follow some of the advice in this thread...like thinning out 2-3 to 1 paint. I put it on thicker, big mistake. I also bought an orbital sander and will use that with 2000 or 3000 grit. Painting with Rustoleum was a LOT of work, and I'm always pressed for time, but I'd do it again...and plan to this summer!!
  10. I caught some clunky notes in Amazing Grace, but was pleasantly surprised. Nice sweet voice, very pleasant accapello. Not fussy about the first song. Tell her to sing some kick ass rock n roll and quit that gospel shite...that stuff will kill ya.
  11. Check this out http://www.cxracing.com/. I bought my IC and BOV from Kevin, good prices and services. Highly recommend.
  12. I've been thinking about the Holset HY35...does it just bolt up to the existing manifold and exhaust flanges? If mods are required, how hard are they? Sorry if these questions seem pretty simple, I'm Mr. Ten Thumbs.
  13. I drove my 77 between Calgary and Bakersfield three times this year (about 4,000 miles round trip, 22.000 over past 15 months) and left it in Bako for the winter so I can DD it every two weeks when I'm down there. So far the car has been amazingly reliable. It goes like stink, gets decent gas mileage and my customers love to ask questions about it. I'm in Calgary now and missing my baby every single minute...only 12 days till I see her again!!
  14. Check out this web page of my turbo swap. There are 3-4 pics of the IC piping and one shows the air filter. HOpe this helps. http://www.patch-marketing.com/280z.htm
  15. We thought about putting the filter in front of the rad, but instead went with a 2.5" pipe and managed to get both IC pipes and air intake through the rad support. You can check out our turbo swap at http://www.patch-marketing.com/280z.htm. We're only making estimated 220 rwhp right now, but Megasquirt coming this summer.....
  16. We just finished swapping in a 1982 L28ET in my 1977 280Z. Runs at 11.5psi and we estimate it puts out around 220 rwhp. It's a ton of fun! I like it because the car is built for long highway drives to California, so I will get decent gas mileage and still have plenty of power when I need it. My only advice is spend a lot of time researching the electrical on a turbo swap. I lucked out...the fellow helping me is an electrical engineer...I think by the time he had the turbo harness installed he had two wires backward, otherwise went great. But from our discussions, it sounds like it could have been a real mess.
  17. Guys, I'm swapping an 82zx turbo into my 77..what's the biggest injector I can use in the stock manifold? Any recommendations as to brand or make?
  18. A buddy of mine installed 90 300ZX electric leather seats in his 73 240z. Made his own brackets. Seats cost him $300 from a club member. They look great and are really comfortable. He drove out to the coast this summer with his wife and said it was a comfy ride. I can give you his email if you want to contact him about the brackets. When I get the drivetrain on my 77 done I'm going with these seats.
