  3. Please read threads before posting,if you go back about 8 posts your question will be answered And yes the turbos were tight but they had plenty of room, unfortunately if you want larger turbos than stock you are going to need smaller frame rails.
  4. I was wondering the same thing?? Try some gloss paint and dont wax it - should be easier.
  5. http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/216076-newbie-pics.html#post3229195 BTW ontherox is me
  6. If your wearing shoes like that anything can happen!! But seriously...all three wheels at once???
  7. This kind of thing makes me feel bad about the days when my buddy and i (maybe 12-14) would take fishing rods down by the highway and cast large saltwater lures underneath passing cars (car fishing) only to have all the line rip out in about 5 seconds.Seems funny to think that back then it was amusing to think that someone was going to spend hours unraveling mono filament from there axles and brakes ...oh well lol. And no i would never do that again!
  8. That is way too awesome to look at!! RUN AWAY!!!
  9. Haha - yea right silly boy...with all my projects and motivation?? You could call this an update?? http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=131893
  10. Thanks,i really am impressed with the interest here i really do think its doable, however i learned today that the customer now wants the spare engine back .The reason i started thinking about this is because it was a free engine! Paul,i dont think my wagon needs one of these engines after driving the svx,my hill climb experiences can get scary enough with 1.8 power .I will be going 2.2 this summer though. I'll post back once i know for sure, maybe he will sell it cheap.
  11. You should be concerned with the fact that this mechanism has to be so lightweight that the minimal gains are still enough to overcome the weight gains, not sure how much power you are planning to save but this sounds like it could get heavy.
  12. I heated the hub up nearly red hot and then shocked it by pouring beer that i had in the shop all over it just before hammering like i was prospecting gold nuggets - the only thing that worked after about 6 hours of work!I think it was more coincidence combined with the fact that i had already done the same thing about ten times only with pb blaster instead of beer beforehand.
  13. No but thats a good link, they got all kind of cool variants!!
  14. Yeah the price hurt me too.I'm keeping them in mind though as i have plenty of plans for my new tube bender, these should work well for a lot of things tubular, not just exhaust!
  15. Why have i never seen these before??? Header design exhaust legos lol. http://www.icengineworks.com/icewmain.htm
  16. If your any good with wiring and all you want it to be able to move it,then you should be able to bypass the stock wiring with a few circuits and make it at least start and move around.
  17. Hey guys, spring is here and i'm parting out one of my 280's.Let me know what you need. Just to keep some of you from asking i will post what is no good. Dash = junk Door windows = sold driver, have pass. Doors = fixable, not great Hood = mine Fenders = fixable, not great Gas tank = sold lots of other stuff ive forgotten is broken or missing as well. Car is a 1978 5 speed,n47 head.Engine nearly complete,i actually have 2 engines that need to go. Let me know whats needed,Hybridzers get a better price than e-bayers!
  18. Well if you understand electricity than it makes sense that something happened all of a sudden, electricity either works or stops working very quickly.
  19. Are you not telling us a bunch of stuff about how crappy your wiring is:confused::confused:....yes probably wiring lol.
  20. I would agree that despite the look of the engine compartment perhaps the guy is a form follows function type, with an engine that has 200 hours of tuning and 20 minutes of polish.
  21. Cmon guys his flanges are fine. If Terry makes his car any more awesome there is a good chance of total protonic reversal in which every atom which makes up his car will explode simultaneously at the speed of light causing a rift in the space time continuum,do you really want that? Good job with the exhaust
  22. Haha, thats funny. The car has one of my old strut bars that i used to make and sell on e-bay installed on it (almost 100% sure),i wonder how it has held up?? The design was far from perfect,so any corner carving it does has nothing to do with my bar lol.
