Sorry but not true-we dont need people corrupting their welds for silly myths.
Argon is not only in the air you breath right now but it is odorless, colorless,non-reactive,totally inert and harmless to breath. The only possible hazard is the fact that it displaces oxygen which in a severe case may cause suffocation.Regardless you will not get poisoned or suffocated while welding with argon.
I'm thinking that this may be a cool and different direction to go with my car-something that i have been in turmoil over for some time. What do you guys think? Looks like a match made in zland.Now....where do i find Miura jato taillights???
My inspiration:
Semi current state of things:
ehhhhhh...i dont think tungsten is the topic right now.Melt stainless with whatever color tungsten you want and your still breathing molten metal fumes.
Just be careful, harbor freight is very hit or miss. They might be fine or they might be missing welds/necessary parts as well as the possibility of some Chinese persons body part stuck in it from the manufacturing process.
Perhaps you could try blanketing instead of wrap,no experience with the idea but it maybe a best of both worlds solution?

Are you going to be able to replace the bell housing,or in other words is your trans ok?
Any way around definitely get yourself some wire and one of thesehttp://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/nutsaftblok.php,even if the problem lies elsewhere-cant have that happen twice.
Well if it is in fact not a huge piece of crap then yeah i would pay 500 for a good l28et anyday, however nobody but the person selling it knows for sure what its worth
Or not too far behind anyway.
Listen to the man,i have learned (well...pretty much) that there is nothing more frightening on this board than to open up your user cp only to find a PM from an admin you didnt initiate contact with.
Sure. You need lowering springs and not to have 18" wheels. But you need to understand what the whole strut sectioning thing is about. You can lower your car until the cows come home with stock struts but the more you do so the less and less "bump travel" you have.Bump travel being your tires ability to move upwards without bottoming and leaving you with essentially a suspension less car in certain situations = DANGEROUS!
By sectioning or shortening the strut housings you can fit strut cartridges from another model car allowing you to be lowered and have adequate bump travel.Without doing this your suspension will specialize in down travel. With very limited bump.I bought some sweet coilovers for my car which allow me to drop the car considerably. However after seeing my bump travel that is left without removing the bumpstops i realized that i now need to start over again and go with sectioned housings.
So basically if you don't want to end up regretting what you've done,go ahead and do it right the first time. However it seems to me that you are just interested in a temporary ration of cool factor for your car,yes you can get away with it cheap but it will never be any more than "temporary cool" and only semi functional.
Which engine??
If you mean the v6 not much in stock form.My boss has one, granted it does weigh about 1,256,764,899,324,234,788,654,564,322,221.78 Lbs...give or take 3-4 octillion.
Why is it that people with brainwaves that have this type of frequency end up living to procreate and the smart ones fall victim to said individuals activities and die??
