Yes they will fit. You can get the turnsignals from any 240 or early 260 to fit on the air-dam and just re-wire the turnsignals that are in the grill down to the air-dam signals. You just need to decide what to do with the turnsignals in the grill. You could leave them. I have seen where they were wired in parallel with the low ones (2 signals each side of car) or get an early grill.

Can anyone tell me if there was a stock 4sp manual in the '82 Z28 Camaro? If so, was it a muncie? I may have found a donor car. A 4sp is not my first choice, but this '82 Z28 I found runs good, has a lot of new parts (carb and other things) and I can get the whole running car for cheap (around $1000). It has parts I could sell and make some money back. Is that cheap? Good deal, bad deal? Should I offer less, or find another car? I like the fact that this is the whole car and it runs. Maybe freshen up the motor some, get some vortec heads for more hp? Help. Please respond!

Pete, You can have them. You'll need to cut them down to size because they make them too long, but thats a good thing. My car is going to be orange and they just don't look right to me. If it was a dark color they would better (subtle) I will send you an email from home later. You can reply with your address and I'll drop them in the mail.

I put the clear headlight covers on my car. Its just my opinion, but I thought they looked goofy with the black rubber seals. I took off the rubber and put them back on Also sanded and primed the air dam. BTW, my headlight covers are the cheap ones from MSA. I'll post a pic when I have a chance.

I understand what you guys mean about no time. I have had my car 11 months, but looked for a decent one for about 1 year before I bought my 260. After I got the car last year so many things happened. The folks in one of my rental properties moved and my wife decided we would sell the house rather than rent again. They had been there almost 9 years. I replaced (all by myself!) all carpet and pad in both bedrooms, new floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, new shower kit, new sheetrock in laundry room. Then my wife decided she did not like the kitchen cabinets so all of that came out and I replaced it. No to mention I painted ever inch. The house went on the market 1 week before Sept. 11. Oh yeah, I got timing! Did all this work at night and on weekends. Last summer was great Of course after it was done, my wife was like "wow this looks better than our house". I knew me and the Z were in trouble again. So then in our house, I put new ceramic tile in the kitchen and just finished hardwood floors (a first for me) thru the whole house except bedrooms. New carpet and paint soon. They turned out great, and I may put them in my office as well. We spent a lot, so when it comes to the Z, I'll have some leverage. At least we sold our rental about 2 months ago, the guy paid cash! Did I mention my 5 year old starts school next week? No time??? What do you mean!

Chevy Chase should use that in a new Vacation movie. It reminds me of that POS station wagon he had in the first one. What a shame!

Check this post from about a week ago in the paint and body section "What front air dam is this". Check the red z in the first post. Paint looks wet.....SHAAAWWEEEEEEET. BTW, Its #50-1401 from MSA, thats what mine is in the pics further down. Looks better in person than in the catalog IMO. It was about $145 shipped to NC about 3-4 months ago. Sal claimed they had it in stock and it would ship that day, but of course it turns out it was back ordered and took about 2 weeks to ship. Do you guys think I should the use clear headlight covers. I have set but can't decide whether I like them or not. I should get a better idea after I get the front end and bumper painted or at least primed. BTW, this MSA front air dam is good quality. I was surprised after everything I heard.

James, NO WAY would I part with the LS1. If I could afford it and my fab skills were better, that would be the swap for me. The LS1 has as much potential as anything out there. Also look at the weight to HP ratio on the LS1. You got the right motor, now get to work Tom
