I like the 510 because its light n all but I also like the Z. My Z needs a new chassis harness and engine harness radiator hoses and all that stuff... Would it be probable as one said to get it running under 800? It has a rebuilt engine. I either look forward to fixing it for myself or selling it for 300$ since it has no paperwork.

I had the same problem with my 240sx, what was wrong with it is that my rotors needed to be resurfaced, or so I was told. I bought new ones and that solved the problem.

I think they're making a big engine also... I've seen a picture floating on the net for a while. I'll post if I see it.

I understand about not having a ride, but my family owns 9 cars and only 3 people to drive them but, I want to drive my car and my car only and the 240sx is not my type of car... I went from 280zx to 300zx to 280z to 240sx and coming back to 280z but unfortunately this 280z doesn't run... It has a rebult bottom end don't know about the heads though, the engine was assembeled by a mechanic. I need to get a harness, ecu transmission, and radiator to get it running do you guys think that 1,000$ will be enough to get that. Also, need to get it registered and titled it hasn't run since 88 so I'm guessing that will run me 300+ what my dad told me.

to get a Z running with no motor harness ecu and anything just has the differential... Stupid question I know but, I have an n42 block and p78 or p79 head? Will those two go together? I tried searching but, really couldn't find the answer. Do you guys think 1,500$ is good to get my Z up and running? I need to know before I sell my 240sx... I'm selling it so I can fix my 280z and don't know if its enough and at my age I don't have a job or anything to spend money only the money that I'm going to get for the car but give 250$ to my mom for buying me a plane ticket... =] I'm going to get a call tomorrow so, I need to know if it is enough I don't want to make a mistake and not have a car to drive next year. Though I know fixing an S30 chassis isn't a mistake...

A friend of mines is using 50mm bolt on spacers on the rear of his 240sx, I don't know if how many inches that is exactly or if it even is an inch but its hella thick. The spacers go for like 80$ you don't have to use extended studs.

Try your local pick n pull or something. All those things you can get at you Nissan Dealer but I'm guessing pricing will be over 500$? I did my swap for 300$ with hook ups from friends. I really wouldn't know though, I'm kind of new to the Z cars myself maybe someone more experienced can hop in and tell us.

Transmission (Ofcourse) Clutch Pedal Brake Pedal Slave Cylinder Clutch Master Clutch Hardline Manual tranny clutch bushing Manual transmission harness Backing plate Clutch kit Modification required: Holes for fitting clutch pedal. If you don't want to get the brake pedal just hack away at the automatic one. Thats it. =]

I did the auto to manual swap on my 240sx s13 alone with no mechanical experience at all. I was 14, I thought it was pretty simple.

I know this is an old thread but, had a question. From what I read is 3'' better than 2.5'' on an N/A l28e? Also would love you hear a sound clip of your car 280zforce.

I know there are many rustoleum threads and stuff, I've been searching many different forums but, I haven't found my answer. People say thin 20% or 50/50 I don't understand the 20% is it like 20% thinner or 20% rustoleum? I did a 50/50 mix with my bros 240sx came out looking way too thick... I'm spraying at 35 PSI with a pressure fed gun. Help me please. Thanks in advance. -Victor S.

Hey everybody I was wondering, I'm going to try and paint my car with rustoleum. I've been searching and searching. I can't find what kind of gun to use. I've seen people say they used HVLP Electric Spray guns but I don't know where to get one from. I want one under the price of 100$ if possible?

I like it also because of what Turbo Meister said. Also somewhat fuel efficient when cruising, not boosting.

Thats how my 240sx is as well, how much did the RHD conversion cost you? They want to charge me 1,200 for parts and labor and, 800 for just parts, but I did auto to manual swap. I struggled a bit without knowing what I was doing didn't look up anything but, 2 weeks later and 100-150 trips to autozone and 50-100 trips to Nissan I finally did it. =] Nice S13 front, I might be the youngest person you run into in here. I just turned 15 and have been working on cars since I was 11. =]

Yea, also turn the diff with your hand and do the other side as well.

I've been looking for a way to stiffen up my 240sx in the 240sx forums, but I searched and didn't find the answer I needed. Is it possible to make the car too stiff, and parts will just begin to snap? I've been wanting to do this to my 280z and 240sx so I really want info on doing this before I do do it. Any info?
