Wow stupid question but if I buy the coilovers think a shop will do all the welding and stuff if so about how much do you think they would charge? Or do I have to take the car to a person that specializes on Z cars?

Is it possible to just put the coilovers on without having to weld something?

OK I have been searching through hybrid Z for 2 days with like 3 hours of reading and I cant find any coilovers that just bolt on like they have for the 240sx and such, with the coilovers they sell you need to weld and stuff and I don't have a welder or know anyone who does. Is there a site where I can get some that just bolt on instead of having to do some work on. I don't want lowering springs. Thanks! Victor

Probably a stupid question but what does a stock fender mean? I don't think you can modify your fender right? Is a fender with flares not a stock fender? I'm confused now that I think about it.

Same thing happened to my car but it didn't totally die I press the gas pedal a bit and it rev at 500 when it normally idles at 1000 I don't know what happened I guess it just when away.

Hey whats up. It is sort of a noob question but I can't find on google nor here where the voltage regulator is at I changed my alternator about a month or so ago and it said I had to replace the voltage regulator at the same time but I didn't have extra 42.99 dollars at the time and when I had just put the car on it charged and stuff but now ever since I was putting new bulbs on the rear the volts gauge just shut off. None of the dash board lights work and the blinkers are ssslllooowww . So I was wonder if it might be that... Oh when ever I press on the gas pedal the light on the volts gauge turns on and thats it. So I'm wonder if it might be a circuit or something or the volt regulator. Any help would be appreciatted. Thanks! -Victor S.

Oh, OK cool thanks! I didn't know how I'm sort of new to hybrid Z. I like how it looks profesionally installed. I won't do that to car though, but what about T-Tops? How would that work? I would need to get whole different weather stripping?

Hey whats up everybody? I was covering the hole where the emblem to a Z goes but as I was doing so I ran my fingers to the top and it felt as if that went somewhere... Does anybody know what it is? I want to know before I cover it up... and is it important:?:

I couldn't take the screw out the back only loosen it... but thanks I'm going to try that as soon as I can.

Oh, and by the way 280zx_sliding it was where you told me. After I took the third one out It just simply fell down but when I couldn't find a way to simply slide it out... The hole is too small for the support to slide out. After that wouldn't work I tried to to saw it a little bit but I messed up 3 saws. Anybody know a different to slide it out? I don't have an electric saw to chop it so I'm stuck here. Three saw later after I kept trying I only got this far on the metal. I've also read a post around here somewhere and to cover up that its good to use J.B. Weld? I added this for no reason at all... I like my car!

Wow ha ha thanks guys, I like to see something that everybody disagrees on... I really don't want to put one on now. The guy that was going to do it was going to charge me 650$. You guys saved me money and a big hassle of trying to get it fixed I guess... Thanks!

Uhm I don't know if its legal... hope it is, its california so probably not. Its going to be my new canyon running car, the other has too many electrical problems so I'm going to send it to somebody that specializes in electric matters. I took pictures of what I'm going to fill the holes in the rear. It only rained one day this whole year so its safe to put water proof fiber glass, though i hear that part of the car shakes a lot. Yes I still go to middle for those who may wonder what those text books are doing there.

Hey has anyone done a sunroof for a 240z, 260z, 280z? If so can anyone put pictures? I want to send my car to get a sun roof done for it. I liked it after I saw a Silvia it looked clean. Before I send my car I want to see how it looks first.

My car is completely 100$ rush free I looked at all the frame rails and stuff their smooth but smooth but yea they have truck liner thing on them. They look brand new. I check the engine bay for most common rust spots. Took off the carpet a bit and no rust at all!

Oh I know but I don't know where else to ubolt the supports it had like something gaurding it or something after I took it out I didn't know where else to unbolt the support.

If you can get a picture with better pixels I can help you out. That would be a bit too hard to photoshop.

Thanks 280zx_sliding and Mario! I'm going to check tomorrow to see if there are any under my carpet, when I take them off do I use fiberglass to cover up the holes? There is rarely any rain up here it only rained one day out of the whole year I was living here. Its safe for fiberglass right?

Hey everybody I'm not really all that good at searching, I did my best on searching how to remove rear bumper supports. Well I wanted to ask how to take them off? I know to take the right one off you need to drop the gas tank, but when I was going to take off the left one I had to take off the muffler. (stock muffler) When I took it off there was a gaurd thing I unbolted everything but then I couldn't find anymore to take off I tried pushing it with my hand a bit but it wouldn't budge. Can anyone help me out? Will it be the same with the right bumper support thing? If someone can post pictures on how to take them off please do so I'm bad at following written instructions.

Sadly I am only running 14/6's nowhere near yours. What kind of rims are those! I want some would look awesome on my car! I saw CCW I tried to google them but different kind of wheels. I'll probably be running same wide wheels as you I like those.

You know I was looking through Advanced auto parts... and I'm horrible at looking for things but I couldn't find on their website if they sold any by quarts. I only found spray cans.

They probably do but I'm all the way in california... I'm afraid of what the shipping might cost for 8 quarts of blue metallic.
