  1. Now the trick is how do you get the nanotubes into the cancer cell but not the normal cells?
  2. How can you have parents AND a significant other dictating your life at the same time? Sounds like you are suppose to be in those in-between years where you get to be stupid and have no one to answer to but yourself. Have you checked out the prices of new cars lately? If you scale back your mods to the car and just drive it, do you think you will average less than $500 a month on repairs (not to mention added insurance)? How much money are you really going to save buying a different car with a different set of problems? Man, live life when you are young. Wait until you have a wife and kids to start sacrificing your own interests for other people. As a wise man once said, you ought to be out riding around in a convertible bird dogging chicks and banging beaver.
  3. The stock radiator will work if you have it recored to a 3 row core. A number of members have run sucessfully that way. Saves the trouble of fashioning new mounts. Only real draw back is weight when compared to an aluminum unit.
  4. It would be a simple matter to wire both switches into themselves so one is an on-off switch and the other selects high or low speed. That way it wouldn't be possible to power up both leads at the same time. My worry would be forgetting to turn them on in the first place.
  5. Unsprung weight is one thing. Rotational inertia also a concern. Go to a museum of science and industry. In the kid's sections they will usually have a demo of two plexiglass "wheels" with metal weights glued to them. Both wheels are the same diameter and weight, but one has all the weight in the center while the other has all the weight out near the rim. Kids are invited to roll both wheels down a track. The one with the weight in the center is over twice as fast as the other. Big rims means more metal farther from the axle. Higher polar moment of interia. This means it takes more energy to get them spinning and more energy to slow them down again. Do nothing else but move the weight farther out on the wheels and the car will be slower to accelerate and be harder to stop. Always makes me wonder why people want 17 inch wheels on a car.
  6. Worn steering rack bushing and replacing the steering coupler with a solid one will also make a difference. Especially when parking.
  7. I think the words "direct bolt on" would rule out things like bellhousing adapters. Looks like Tim gave him his answer.
  8. Some R200's did come with 3.36 gears. 3.36 R180 are very common. Hard to believe none of your searches came up with the tables listing rear end ratios by year. Must have been posted dozens of times.
  9. Couldn't you slot the hole to find the correct pivot point, then weld in the washer?
  10. Not doubting the strength of a Ford 9". Looks like the 9" is still in one piece. Unfortunately that piece is no longer attached to the car. Shearing a stub axle would have thrown one tire, but not dumped the whole rear end. May be a superior rear end, but it is all in the execution.
  11. And solid rear axles are suppose to be so much safer than a factory IRS... That would be pretty intense to have been the driver.
  12. A list from a group of guys who obviously like to work on cars. Most of those cars would not win any awards for reliability. Except the Z of course. And not many women either. No Miata?
  13. My wife's toyota minivan has a real problem with rotor "warping". The stock pads would heat up and adhear to the rotors unevenly, causing the brakes to not grab smoothly. Bedding in the brakes seemed to help get an even layer of pad material from the start.
  14. Yeah, several people have with generally unhappy results. Do a search of the drivetrain forum.

Trouble is SOMEONE has to make the decision. Why leave it up to the poor doctors who don't know you? You can designate anyone in a living will (or whatever they are called). If something happens to my wife, my father in law is next in line to "pull the plug" if need be. But I don't think that is what this is addressing. This is just to help the EMT guys get the process of notifing the support network started. Sounds like any of your 4 friends would work in this capacity. If hard decisions need to be made, then the hospital is going to need more legal documents than just a cell phone number anyway.
  16. That system uses the half shafts in lieu of upper control arms. I have read that this IRS ends like are what caused racing bodies to require solid rear axles. Bust a half shaft and the rear end wheel has no support.
  17. WD40 Just spend a week spraying them with WD40, then chances are a flare nut wrench will unbolt them with no drama. If one is really stuck you could try heating with a propane torch. At this point you may want to consider swapping over to AN fittings. Do a quick search. JohnC has talked about doing this swap. BTW, in your haste you sure have created a lot of extra work for yourself.
  18. Those directions also don't mention lengthing the push rod between the MC and booster. Actually those directions are pretty worthless. As for the brake lines, just make sure the hardline to the front brakes goes to the side of the MC with the larger reserivour. The hardlines on the early 240's have enough wiggle room to make it without requiring new lines. Between that and adjusting (lengthing) the push rod, it is a simple bolt in deal. Arizona Z car use to have a write up on their web site many years ago. That is what I used to switch over my 1970
  19. Try taking your kid to gymnastics class and look at all the 30+ year old mom's with those things on their backs. For some women it works for. Looks pretty silly on minivan moms. I want a woman with the Gettysburg address tatooed on her back side. That way I could get entertained and educated at the same time. " Four score and .." whap whap whap whap...
  20. Don't shaved door handles violate the rules of most racing orginizations? Ought to tell you something. Probably not a big worry on the street. I guess in a worst case scenario the bystanders could just wait for the fire to die down before pulling their jaws of life from their glove box.
  21. If you are like me you are going to find quite a number of other things you didn't even realize you needed.
  22. I can honestly say I didn't notice her nose. Everything else looked awfully real. Someone PM silicone boy for a professional assessment. I can find millions of web sites with dripping wet girls. That is why it seemed so bizzare. It was rather tame and poorly done, so why bother? But that is the first video I have seen of a gorgeous foreign girl winding out a Ferrari.
  23. Looks like a political thread to me.
  24. Coming home with either one would probably be the end of the marriage too. The bit with her driving the car was pretty cool and unusual. The second half with her and the sponge was pretty bizzare.
