  1. Did you get your kit? I talked to him yesterday and he said it was shipped.
  2. Ohhhh...shoot... I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully your kit was the one I was told he was busy making a crate for on the 4th of July. I can tell that you are unhappy and I understand. I may have mistaken your kit as two kits, I do get confused by the items I see up there, I apologize. I bet your are ready to build and all you need is the kit.
  3. I got a project there right now.. so I go up there time to time. I am pretty sure Tom has one or two kits up in the fiberglass shop. In this economy if you got the money he will get the kit to you sooner than 2 months, he could use the business.
  4. The Thunderranch kit is nice and can be had cheaper than the list price. I know that Tom has a few complete kits on the shelf ready to ship. He can also do turnkey kits and does take monthy payment plans while the car is being built with 50% downpayment. I believe it can be build cheaper than the Merlin and looks great.
  5. Got hood here in San Diego....let me know. Oh yeah and a fender too.
  6. Can we cut a little slack to our Z brothers from other countries where english is not a primary language?
  7. I know of a car in San Diego, a 1977 280Z that was stripped down for a 250 body kit, the owner then had financial problems so the project was scrapped. The 250 kit was sold and the car sits ready for a body kit to be installed. There are more kits available where the car is so no worries there. The car can be had cheap and ran and looked great when it was delivered to the shop for the conversion. I got all the stock body panels for a project I am working on so I know the quality of the car which came from Texas and I believe the previous owner paid over $4K for. PM me for more info.
  8. Alan is spot on again. If I could read Kanji I might have know that too as I did see this car in a Japanese car mag.
  9. Might be worth his time and money to have it shipped to Jersey.
  10. Agree with the statement that HowlerMonkey made about the smog tech being able to determine what year engine block is in the car. I had a 78 that I gave to my neighbor soon after that he blew the head gasket, instead of putting a new rebuild head on tired high miliage block he put a F54 block in instead, the car breezed through smog....it failed prior to the block swap. The smogging was done on the up and up.
  11. Nice install and nice of you to put it up on the board. I won a Prothane Kit at MSA this year and really don't know much about the kit, how does it compare to Energy? I have not sent off my gift certificate to get the kit yet but I am interested in how people feel about the kit. I should just get the ball rolling on collecting my prize.
  12. I have a complete black interior for sale. I got the steering wheel cover, and all the plastic for the the inside of the car including that which goes under the dash. I was planning to do a Criagslist San Diego add in a few minutes, my add was going to include a dash, center console and all the plastic for $250.00. I really want to sell it all together as a complete interior for a 77/78 280Z. My A-piller covers, dog legs and steering colum cover are in perfect condition. My rear covers are good but got some cracks on them getting them out of the 77 donor car. Let me know what you think via PM.
  13. As Erik's project manager I am pretty sure he will take this one. I will PM him to make sure.
  14. I think that this an a great example of why it is good to have Classic Car insurance from a place like Hargerty. I have value claim type policy on my S30s. Sometimes we don't realize that our cars our classics. I hope you get that car fixed and I hope you don't have to spend a dime of your own money.
  15. Fixable yes. Mr Steele's insurance company is responsible for this repair.
  16. Les at Classic Datsun: www.classicdatsun.com has this item in stock, fiberglass. It is a great replacement, especially for race applications. What year 240? The grills are different.
  17. I throw more money at him...I told my guy that I got the rest of the payment burning a hole in my pocket....maybe offer a bonus to get it done sooner. I got a car in the same prison as you do, so I understand. I went up to see the shop that is doing my work on Saturday, I bribed him with a 1/2 case of beer and told of the hole burning, he understood, also offered to pay for the rollcage, frame rails and body re-enforcements being welded in. His eyes lite up and he said he would get my car back in the shop to get on it right away. MONEY TALKS.
  18. Word of advice for this site: Use the search feature and then ask questions based upon what you read. They do not take kindly to not using the search feature and misspelling of words. Being new does not usually gain much sympathy from the Admins. Good luck with your Z project.
  19. King BO said kill them and kill them they will do, no doubt Hummer is next as it should be. Got me to thinking: should Nissan kill off Infiniti?
  20. Looking forward to the day that they are available for sale.
  21. What is your plan, race out, resto-mod, or restore? Looks like you got a great starting point.

  22. www.classicdatsun.com I am sure Les could sell you everything you need, I know he now has some great door panel skins too beisides the stuff he has listed on his site. Calling him is better than emailing him.
