  1. Great info there. Thanks. Will check em out befor the final torque. Thanks again. Jim
  2. Diff is all togeather and with new clutches have 65lbs of breakaway. should be fine with what im doing. Later down the line if i get more serious i may up the breakaway but i feel thats great for street and cruzing around town.
  3. HAH 10 mins later i got mine fixed. It was the spacers. I got out the mic and found some small but big differences. Switched them around and boom with a 140 ft lbs its smooth as silk. Im shur i could torque them more. Any imput on a specific torque for the CLSD R200 flange nut?
  4. mine dose not freez sold but is very ruff to turn ..i have anothe r200 thats a 3.54 and i put the pinion shaft in that one and its still ruff but not as bad and when i put the original shaft back in its cherry. Only bearring that wasent changed was the one near the spline gear. ima play with my spacers and see if i can get a result.
  5. Im having a similar issue with mine. Its very ruff feeling like the bearrings are shot. checked them out and the look fine. If asnybody has more imput on this please post.
  6. Ya i saw that! Awsome to.see you can still get stuff(maby). Thanks RB.
  7. Update: Found where to put shims. But im still unshur about having only one spring plate on each end of the packs for a total of 4 not 6. Is this just another build style from the factory?
  8. Hey I had a few questions about the clutchs. I found a nice PDF on the install of them wich went smooth but when I puuled my unit apart I bleive somebody already has been in here because according to the PDF im missing two spring plates. It came apart in this order 12 pices total: spacer, spring plate , plate, clutch disc, plate, spring plate, center section, spring plate, plate, clutch disc, plate, spring plae, spacer. In the pdf file it calls for an extra spring plate at each end in stock config. Heres how it says to assemble with ne clutches. spring disc <---missing spring disc clutch plate clutch plate clutch center section clutch plate clutch plate clutch spring disc spring disc<-----missing When i removed the halfs of the diff it was under a load so it had some tention on it but I never ran this diff befor so idk if it worked. Everything looked great inside. So i dont know what to do. Just reassemble it without the 2 spring plates? My last question would be where do i put the shims at that I need to make? It calls for 4 .004 SS shims to be about 60-75 which I want cuz it will be mostly a street car. Thnaks for your time on this in advance.
  9. Picture was too big . Yes it is a start. A very motivating sight to see IMO! Cant wait to get my harness!!!!
  10. Cool sunny thanks for the pic. I will be looking into this soon. Just test fitted my motor for the first time! Dont mind the overspray my detail guy will take it off like noting.
  11. SUNNY I just started reading your thread on you build up. Thanks to both of you for nice build threads. Hopefully i can get my build going here befor too long and ill be able to hang with the big boys on here haha! Jim
  12. Your kidding? Nobody has called?? Well i will have to change that soon. As for the wiring I think you did a great job but i wasent there for all the wrench throwing haha. Im curious about how you setup the bulkheads for the main sources of power/ignition. That looks really clean. About this clutch thing I hope it gets fixed! Im not looking forward to it haha. By chance have you tried changing the T O bearring? Did you ever try what sunny said about jacking the back end up and seeing if the wheels spin? Well im off to prep my motor bay and work on doing a test fit of my motor. Jim

  20. ls1 MLS questionurrently assembling my ls1 motor. My heads are done and ready to go back on. My question is, can you use MLS gaskets for the " notched" 853 heads? I bought a set from summit. They are a new MLS gasket from Felpro. Called Permatorque MLS. Ive read that you Can and cant use them so i though id put it out there and see what people have to say while i.clean my head bolt holes. Thanks all!
  21. I replaced a few ignition items. With some improvement. Still not perfect. Decided to sell the car. Going LS1. Kept a few goodies. The car actually sold to rayaapp. He lives local and were worked out a sweet deal. I will miss the turbo z. Goodluck on your issue. Id go over your ignition very well. Then move on to fuel. Dont jump around.
