  1. ♥♥♥♥ guys I never buy steak at a steak house or any other place for that matter. talk about raked up price compared to what I can do at home.
  2. Quote from a comment on this video hahahaha: Discuss. It reminds me of those Ford trucks that were recalled for having flames out the exhaust. Haha Edit: And I guess while we're discussing rotaries, I'll pitch this in because it made me laugh too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ42tFG6cXQ I remember when my dad had a downward pointing exhaust like that rx7 on his Spitfire and when he came into the pits at certain tracks where it was like a sandy paddock, he's blow sand and ♥♥♥♥ up at everyone on accident. It was quite humorous. I wouldn't mind having that RX7, looks like it sticks pretty well, but also looks like it rolls a bit much. At the end it looks like it really bit back. Yikes!
  3. Heres one I took while at Texas World Speedway. The winter mornings are always either foggy or clear with the moon falling and rising relatively close together. I typically unzip the tent and go "damnit I have to work today" when I see it.
  4. Darrel I hate you. Haha. Theres a steak house right across the street!
  5. No one can directly talk to our Master, SuperDan! We talk to mods/admins and they talk to The Master! I don't know SuperDan, but I love him already.
  6. K we're using that one! Gogogogogogooggogo
  7. For simple letters you can get some vinyl and cut out some letters... H-Y-B-R-I-D--Z if you want it to be like across the top of your windshield or something. If a site store does come about, do you think it would turn out like the Z Parts site where they have private sales on used and new parts too? I mean, like KTM said they don't sell in huge quantities so would that infer that once or twice a year they our Masters would do a run of products? If that's the case then a site store would be useless for the majority of the year unless our for sale and stuff wanted boards were relocated and reorganized into an online store format. OR I guess our Masters could just sticky a thread to the top of the for sale board so its always there until products are sold. If you think about it, we already have our own little used parts store! I come here before I go to Ebay or even the local Z hell yard!
  8. And to play tourist... Cheap is under eh... $15 per meal I'd say with a drink. Here is my schedule: -Leave Tuesday Jan. 5 in the morning, arrive in Boston around 10 AM or so. -Stay overnight at the Omni Hotel which is on School street (take subway from airport to State Street station and walk the one block -Wednesday take the train to Providence, Rhode Island to stay with family, go skiing blah blah -Go to Bristol, Rhode Island to stay with my grandma and probably go check out New Port while I'm at it. I think Mom's old school is over there on the cliffs. -Train back to Boston Monday Jan. 11 around noon, play more tourist, stay the night to jump the subway back to the airport and leave on Tuesday Jan. 12 Whats disgustingly exciting about this trip is its my first without parents. I didn't want to go by myself and my sister couldn't come so I'm bringing a friend. This means 2 nights in Boston with hotel to ourselves plus family said we can use their car if we wanted to when we get to Rhode Island. Because of the Omni's brilliant location (right across the street from that cemetery with like Benjamin Franklin in it or something, its raised up like 2 feet from the side walk...) it makes my life way easy. Its not my first time in Boston but its been a couple of years. I don't know if I go across the bay (Cambridge area) if there is anything or what. I think last time I went I only lurked around the big long dining halls where the Cheers restaurant is and along the water front. Not old enough for any taverns or bars so that's a no go. Give me a list of things to do and places to feast because this trip was basically my birthday and Christmas present, well the airline ticket was, I'm paying for the hotel, food, skiing, train junk. Figured I'd spend some money on something other than Datsun.
  9. Word on the street is this new exhaust has NO back pressure at all, really good for making over 9000 HORSEPOWERS
  10. Kit cars! I wanted a Sterling as my first car! I was seriously looking at one that had like a Porsche 911 motor in it but the interior was all fargled. Luckily I didn't get one, was $5000. Otherwise, goodluck with the Cheetah!
  11. Let me check to see if I have any L28 pictures when I tore mine down... This is the only one I found of L28 rods I had: You're looking for this: So no it appears they don't have it... If someone were to switch to some nice forged whatever-beam rods I wonder if they would even have the hole at all...
  12. In that book and another one I have it says they take them off because "the piston receives a substantial amount of oil without the squirters", whatever thats suppose to mean since we can clearly see every application is different. Now, I don't think they meant plug the hole when they said that though. What I mean by take them off is grind off that hump. I did that on my rods and the hole still kind of points upward but without the hump. So I guess it may be spraying to the bottom of the pistons, or it may just splatter, but I wouldn't plug them because: -like Tony said, full floating wrist pins, keep'em lubed -helps cooling to a certain extent and with crazy motors every little bit helps (you know that already) -and like 1 Fast Z said, only sprays on the right side so I doubt it would "equally lube" Heres my finished product, you can see it still kind of points towards the piston: And here is a stock U20 rod for a comparison: I also want to note, since I know all of us here are very particular about our motors, except myself really... But shouldn't we look into whether oil is spraying all the time through there or does it spray in pulses? Point being, after seeing that U20 rod again, that hole has to line up with the galley in the journal of the crank for it to spray, right, like a pulse? And our cranks are cross drilled... right? That means it would squirt twice every 360º. So, are those oil galley holes at the very top and very bottom of the journal? If not, that means the rod is at an angle, therefore the oil squirt would not hit the bottom of the piston, but rather like... somewhere else because the squirt hole faces upwards (or close enough). If the squirter isn't even pointing towards the piston when its spraying, all this effort may be stupendously useless!
  13. Someone close this thread. Guys like that, who blatantly break the rules (can't sell stuff with only 2 posts and wrong section) really piss me off, junking up our forum. And obviously since he sold his stuff, he won't be coming back again until he has more ♥♥♥♥ to sell most likely. A polite HybridZ welcome to a new user, will not come from me at all.
  14. Lol does a ceramic clutch burn up or would I never know if I killed mine? Hahaha
  15. Lol well at least he still has good tires.
  16. Well I think they say if it works, don't ♥♥♥♥ with it, right...? Same applies for carbs which is why I don't even touch them. I hide the flathead from myself so I don't tinker.
  17. I have it working, I'm not touching anything!
  18. Alright I got it to work. Remember how I said Vista 64bit is sometimes different? Well it sorts programs out from 32 bit and 64 bit. 32 bit programs go to a folder named "Program Files (x86)" where as 64 bit compatible programs get installed to the regular "Program Files". Microsoft installed folders in BOTH Program Files (x86) and Program Files folders, but the one that has the executable file is the Program Files (x86) one (the 32 bit program folder). Phew, out of breath. Now I can double click on any excel 2007 file and it will open as usual.
  19. Guys I don't have a compatability issue, I have an association issue. The format is 2007 and my Microsoft Excel, Word, Money, etc are 2007. Sigh...
  20. Yah that was my first try which was a result from me navigating to the Start menu shortcut. As you saw, it said the file wasn't a Win32 application or whatever. I showed a picture of my Office12 folder and there is no Excel.exe. I don't understand how it would be able to open, without an executable file...
  21. Such is life, especially during certain times for me since I'm running Vista 64 bit... When I do google searches you have to put into consideration that its a 64 bit and honestly, I haven't a clue what that means, I just know circumstances are different for 64 bit owners sometimes... Oh well.
  22. I'll try that path. See what happened was my 2007 trial ran out after 30 days of buying the computer so I installed like a Microsoft Works 2003 which had Excel and Microsoft Word Processor, although I used Open Office for papers. So I made a file using 2003, not a problem, well then I got 2007, I know you're going to say well you must have a compatability issue. No. I just redid my stuff in a 2007 file so its saved as a .xlsx file. Now all my files are up to date with 2007 so I went ahead and deleted the old 2003 file and uninstalled Microsoft Works 2003. Like I said, I can still open my 2007 Excel file, I just have to open a blank sheet >>> open file >>> choose location. I can't just simply double click on the file like I would with a 2007 word document. I also can't just right click on my desktop >>> New >>> choose New Excel 2007 file, because its not in the list of files I can create. This is what I see when I go to that extension: The excel.exe extension didn't work, said the file didn't exist, as you saw above. Maybe I try reinstalling...
