  1. It's listed in their catalog, might be worth giving them a call. See if they can order it for you. I was going to order one myself this summer to rebuild a 280zx MC I pulled off my parts car, bummer. I ordered the kit for my 260z' MC a few years ago, looked good.
  2. Buy a rebuild kit. I think I got one from Black Dragon Auto for $15 or something. Comes with new seals, spring, piston for your master cylinder. Put it together the way it comes apart. Look up guides/how-to's for bench bleeding and also checking the health of your master cylinder. They're like the cylinders in your engine and if they have scrapes in the side from worn seals they won't seal properly. Unless you've done other upgrades to your brake system, you shouldn't go with a 280zx master cylinder. Your stock brake system is setup for front disc/rear drum. 280zx is front disc/rear disc. Disc brakes use high pressure low volume and drum's use high volume low pressure. I recommend you read the brake FAQ before thinking about upgrading.

  4. I thought it was a good game on both sides. Definitely a nail biter down to the end. They used to do a team salary cap in football, but they ended that policy in 2010 according to Wikipedia. I liked it, because it prevented one team from buying a dream team. I prefer NFL to MLB or Nascar any day. Although I've seen an increase in bad ref calls in all professional sports over the past decade or so, which to me yells corruption and game fixing. Behavior of such celebrities gets me too. Michael Vick is a hell of a quarterback, but he should NOT be playing in the NFL. He lost his privilege to be a professional high paid athlete, no room for discussion. So much corruption in sports. /endrant More along the lines of the OP, I think it was Japan that banned the use of Slingbox to extend your own programming from home. One of the issues is companies want to make money off from every aspect of their product, but want to also control the how you receive and use your service. Even if they don't offer the ability to use their service in a certain way, they don't think their PAYING customers have the right to do with it what they want. Unless they can get their hands in it. We see this all over the technology world. The just don't get it, we are willing to pay for it, but don't tell us what we can and can't do with it. Then they wonder while we steal it in the first place...
  5. Packer fan here from Michigan. Sorry you missed the game. Travelling so much, I'd recommend a VPN service. Either through the company you work for or some websites offer pay services. I know some people who either live in other countries or travel a lot and use this to play online games/use services on US servers. The advantage of doing this is a VPN is secured traffic, which gets priority over regular traffic. Plus it's nice to surf in a foreign country and know all your web surfing is secured.
  6. x2 on Anti-seize or High Temp paint. I think POR-15 makes some high temp paint. Here in Michigan I usually put some anti-seize on there to ensure the hub doesn't rust/corrode and make the rotor/wheel seal it self to the bare surfaces.
  7. http://www.magnetpaints.com/underbody.asp Chassis Saver is another product, I think it's cheaper than POR-15. They sell it in a few colors also and have different versions depending on application. Videos: First video a guy beats Chassis Saver with a hammer and it doesn't chip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG0S7KQzRvk Second video is Stacy David on Gearz, he's the former host of Trucks tv show. Great guy. The people that make this stuff are here in the US and are great people. They recently launched the first UV protected paint on bedliner. On Jeepforum.com they are great vendors and are always giving advice and taking input. I ordered some paint on bedliner for my Jeep and they send a free quart of it with it.
  8. Bring the gasket to your local foreign car parts or NAPA auto parts store. They usually will measure the gasket with a caliper and find it in a catalog. If they can't find it they will often know if there is a company around town that sells those type of parts.
  9. Mileage means little when talking Volvo. 200k is breaking it in, there is a reason the dealership has badges to put on your car for each 100k you put on them. On a side note I met Irv Gordon, the guy with 2.7 million miles on his car, which is a Volvo P1800. Nice guy, loves his car. You may think Volvo's are old technology. Besides looking outdated, they have consistently pioneer many safety systems and other car technologies. The standards they have are often years ahead of other manufacturers. If you have ever really torn into a Volvo you'll realize they engineer their products to last and be easy to work on. For example I believe the grill in the 240 can be removed by turning two nobs/screws and you can pop it right out. This theme can be found all over the car's panels and other things you commonly need to replace are meant to come off. 240's come with Dana 30 rear ends and have 4 cylinders, My 1996 850 T-5 Wagon has Side impact air bags, leather heated seats, power everything, winter mode for the transmission (starts off in 3rd), headlight wipers (honest they do work). Basically it's got most of the standard items cars are just now bragging about. Sounds like a nice DD for you. If anyone gives you flack, tell them you'll race them to 500k miles and see who's car is still working?
  10. As a Volvo person I'd buy them. However you shouldn't buy them to make money, they just don't have that kind of value. Depending on the mileage of the one, even if it was in decent shape, you won't make much on them. This is taking into account time/money. 240's are actually cheap to fix, since they ran the model for so long, with little changes. Buy parts from online distributors like www.fcpgroton.com . I order the majority of my parts from there, unless it's performance related, generic, or I can only get from the dealership. I usually don't touch rusty Volvo's. Why? Well since Volvo has a 7 layer paint system where they dip the panels. If you see a rusty Volvo, it has been mistreated and not clean/maintained. Thats why you'll see 20 year old Volvo's rolling around in Michigan without rust and a 2 year old GM product rusting to hell.
  11. Less bends, less material, easier to do true dual. I've wondered how the car drives with them, ride clearance and so on. Also heat on the floor boards.
