All I can say is the check the solder connections where the display meets the board. other than that you will be out of luck unless you can find a detailed drawing. But that is highly doubtful. if you do Let me know.
All I can tell you is that there is no published information on what you are looking for that I know of.
You might want to contact Wild Bill http://www.webwarden.net/wildbill/index.php
He fixes the Z31 Digital dashes and might know of a fix for yours.
08/80 is a 81 model year. Paint has it's own code. This is why it is stumping me.
On the Z31 W in the model code is US leather interior but it replaces the Y Japanese Leather or the Blank for Cloth.
Neither the FSM for any year or the Fiche has any information on this. FAST even don't have what it means.
As you know I am working on the S130 Registry gathering Vins and model Information. I have come across some items in the model codes that puzzle me. Here is a model code. I am interested in what the W and Y mean.
KHLS130JFVBC1WY
This is what I know
K = T-top
H = L28 motor
L = Left Hand Drive
S130 = Duh
J = Grand Luxury trim
F = 5 Speed Manual
V = California Emissions
B = Power Steering
C1 = Automatic Climate Control
W = No clue
Y = Thinking Leather Seating
Thank you , I do try.
It is taking a long time to get the Vin numbers Mined from Fast so alot of these additions are added to the database but not uploaded yet.
Do you know if yours is a Canadian Model?
The Vin does not pull up in my US version of Fast. Check the Model plate for
me and let me know if you have a U, V, or N listed there,.
If you don't know what I'm talking about the Model plate is located in the Engine compartment. the Model Number will look like the following.
KHLS130JFU = T Top GL Manual 5speed Federal Emissions.
Thanks Guys. Keep it up. It may be a while while before you will see them online. I am currently making a master database then going to use it for the Search Script. Keep those Vins Coming.
No Z31 came with Air Suspension, The Adjustable suspension was Electronic. The Tubes were just Vent tubes for the Covers used. The way they worked is a Solenoid would change the valving in the Strut,Shock. the Fluid in the Strut/Shock would be forced through progressively smaller holes to stiffen the shock.
As soon as the script is rewritten You will be able to Search through the Vins by the Vin number, Interior trim, Paint, Model years, ect.
It may take a while because of the amount of data to Mine out of FAST
Unfortunately the Differential information is not available in FAST. I do have the Information on my site under basics. It is directly from the Nissan Fiche and from the FSMs
