  1. I had a megaphone hooked up through a CB radio in my Exploder a while back. Had to take it out cause my friends couldn't resist constantly screaming obscenities at every other person on the road, almost got me in trouble too many times.

All my friends kept saying how scary the Ring was so they forced me to watch it, and to be honest I didn't think it was all that scary. I kinda liked Steven King's movie Thinner, I saw it on HBO a while back and thought it was pretty cool.
  4. Almost every 350Z owner I've talked to thinks the Z is a "new" car. I guess they fail to make the connection. At least with a 300ZX I guess the X could throw them off, but hey with a 240/260/280Z they have no excuses.
  5. That's a really interesting site Moby, I didn't know it existed either.
  6. LOL, that was funny as hell!
  7. Even though it was filmed at 5:00 PM over there on the west coast, we still get it early lol .
  8. Yeah I wouldn't doubt it, as it seems to be the dumping ground for a lot of the usuals, (How much, how hard, how long). Maybe cause it's at the top? I dunno. Even if the moderators do begin to crack down on the dumb posts that still puts a lot of stress on the mods, I don't want to be a jerk here, but we have to find a way to deter these people in the first place. I think we can probably attribute a lot of these posts to our two favorite movies (sarcastically)...There were a few posts a while back of "If I put an RB26DETT in my Z I get all wheel drive right?". So I'm not sure its possible but I think it would be in everyone's best interest to prevent the stupid questions and comments from being posted in the first place so not to overload the work of our mods. Also, wouldn't there be a problem if someone comes on and asks "How fast will a Z with a 300ZX twin turbo engine in it be?". A mod sees this, the delete the thread. The next thing you know the guy comes back posting, "U POST NAZI'S ALL U CARE ABOUT IS UR AMERICAN PUSHROD 1950's JUNK". The mod deletes that one, then the next day the guy has a new username and again "U GUYS SUCK..." blah blah blah. It could snowball and go on and on from there, maybe I'm wrong though. Sorry for being so wordy, I guess I got a little carried away
  9. I agree with you Mike, while there are many serious people on the RB board such as Stony, Brad D, Bob H, etc. that seems to be the section of the site that generates a ton of questions that could've easily been answered by the search function. Every time I check the RB section all I see is, "How much to put an RB26 in my Z?", "Does an RB26 fit in my Z?", "How fast will an RB26 make a Z?". It just seems like a section of the site that many dreamers tend to gravitate to and post ridiculous comments. Also, for the L6 people, there is more than enough information that can be accessed at Zcar.com, IZCC, and many more.
  10. Oh yeah, I'll definitely be buying one of those, right now I've just been using the small hand held one that came with the welder. Everyone I've talked to has said the autodarkening masks are a must.
  11. Just started welding today, and damn, it is a really fun and interesting process. I was just practicing by welding some straight lines on some small pieces of steel, then started welding 2 and 3 pieces together and I'm getting the hang of it pretty quickly and making some decent looking welds . We just bought it the other day, its a Lincoln Pro-MIG 175 and we also got the aluminum kit and a tank of argon and one of CO2 to go along with it. I was using innershielded wire that came with it for now and it seems to produce a pretty clean weld. I think I'll practice with this stuff for now then start using the gas as I get more advanced. Anybody have any advice to help a novice welder practice, I just can't get enough of it .
  12. Not necessarily from what I understand. On the IZCC they have a registry of all cars VIN's and build dates and it seems that some with higher VIN #'s were actually built in 69 than lower ones that were built in 70. On another note, I'm not purist by any means but I own #817 build date 1/70 and I won't be cutting this one up. That's the main reason I don't actually have a HybridZ right now because I just don't think it would be right to tear up a completely original car w/ very very little rust and only 75k on the odometer. I do plan on buying another 240Z in the very near future and tearing it to pieces, so don't crucify me for wanting to keep my 70 stock !
  13. I dunno, the fact that it is a '69 raises the value significantly. Although it has been through a lot, I think its still worth a lot more than $2k. Around here I have seen decent condition 280Z's going for $5k+.
  14. Oh man that was funny as hell. He actually accellerated into it. I did that on a mini bike once, but I had an excuse since it had no throttle control or brakes...

  16. Sounds good, great idea
  17. Oh ok, I gotcha. Funny a$$ story though.
  18. Man you are crazy, that guy is gonna be one pissed off mofo when he comes out and finds his car covered with tickets. Must've been nice to vent on one of those meter maid/ parking enforcement officer types.
  19. Supposedly Ford bought a few 360 Modena's and took them apart piece by piece to make sure the GT was up to par. From what I hear the Ford GT will dominate the Modena in just about every speed and handling category.
  20. I love the updated, yet retro look.
  21. Hey, if he does get elected, you could force all those people in Minnesota to take off their "My governor can beat up your governor" bumper stickers. Arnold vs Jesse Ventura, would make for a good matchup.
  22. thanks guys he appreciates your opinions...
  23. Actually its my brothers... 1981 CJ7, 38.5 inch tires w/ 8 inches of lift This is what it looked like when he got it two weeks ago. This is what it looks like now. Check out our site for more pics, he put a lot of work into it and wanted me to show you guys. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=285439&page=5 Let me know what you think...
  24. Awesome, I'm suprised they were actually nice about it. Most of the time they'll just flame you to death on those sites, hence the reason I no longer visit them.
