ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US - with a twist of lime
Jay1970Z replied to Mudge's topic in Non Tech Board
haha, when I first saw the post I thought, oh no not this stupid crap again. But it was hillarious seeing U.S. soldiers saying "All your base are belong to us" to the Iraqis -
Now that was cool! Jesse James is the man, I love that show

Interesting info on our leadership and those who oppose them

It's true, the war does have a lot to do with oil! French oil, German oil, Russian oil... As for the US abandoning diplomacy, the French said they would veto ANY proposal for a resolution in Iraq in the UN Security Council. The French were also planning on helping Saddam build a nuclear reactor and have sold him many French vehicles, Peugot's, Renault's, etc. But then again, most of the stuff the French build is garbage anyway, so we shouldn't be too worried -
How come the dude driving the red Silvia has Toyota and TRD written all over his shirt?

Wanna see any concept in any year by any car company?
Jay1970Z replied to Heavy Z's topic in Non Tech Board
I think we can relate to this one... http://www.conceptcarz.com/folder/vehicle.asp?car_id=6300&autoShowID=&vehicleTypeID=0 -
Mike, did you go to the Sawgrass recreational park for that Airboat ride? The airboats they use there are big monsters, if you want to have some real fun, you gotta go on a real airboat. We used to have one powered by a Lycoming aircraft engine but we sold it years ago, some friends of mine have one with a 550 hp LT1 from a Vette. We use the ramp there all the time to put our bass boat in and its where we used to take our old airboat. Niceguy - I beg to differ, IMHO Florida is the true sportsmans paradise, we have the best bass fishing and the best salt water fishing. The watersports here are fun as well, wakeboarding, skiing, hydrosliding, we have it all!

I'm e-mailing that guy, going to try and see if I can get him to send me some pics of what that thing was in before. If he sends 'em, we will have something else to laugh at.

Usually when you hear some kid saying how "hooked up" his car is, thats a dead giveaway. Some ricer at a local car show was trying to tell me his Civic runs 11's. I ask him to show me some timeslips, but to my amazement, no time slips. I ask him what he has done to his car, he replies, "I have a turbo kit, exhaust kit, intake kit, header kit, and shift kit." So at this point I'm like ok... then he tells me that he has a friend with a Cavalier that will smoke my friends 99 TA. Of course its all "hooked up" as well and has a "rear wheel drive conversion kit"?!?!?! It's pointless arguing with them, every slow ricer's excuse is "Hey my car won't blow up after two weeks and will outhandle your car." Yes, I'm sure an 01 Integra will outhandle a Z06...

Ah man, I get off for spring break the week after you'll be down, I woulda liked to have shown you my Z since its at my home down there (I'm at school in Orlando). If your not doing anything on the Friday night head down to the Tower Shops, its on the corner of University Dr. and 595, they have a nice car show there every Friday and as long as its not raining there is always a good turn out, although I see very few Z's there, there is a good variety, it usually starts around 6-7 pm and lasts till around 10-11 pm. Besides that, the best thing to do in Ft. Lauderdale this time of year is to hit the beach! The winter has been over for a while here so enjoy your stay, hope you have a good time

All I gotta say is...whoa. Ours does need a little work to make it show worthy again, I think my dad and I will be undertaking our Z projects at the same time over the summer while I'm home from school. He will start re-restoring his, and I will be going SBC or L28ET. I still can't believe how much that '73 is going for. I imagine that when I show my dad that auction his face will look something like this --->

Man I am an idiot here is the link lol. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=285439&page=2

Well actually its my dad's Z, and no it won't be becoming a HybridZ anytime soon Gotta wait till I get my own for that. But his is all original, build date 1/70 with 77k original miles, and my dad was the second owner (bought it in 1975). Very little rust and a straight body, would make a great Hybrid, but dad won't let me get my claws into it lol. It's on my brother's cardomain page, page one is pics of all his ricer bs on his accord and page three is pics of a friend of ours swamp buggy. Just thought I'd share now that I have some pics online, let me know what ya think

Caddy Big Block!!!! Yeah!! Finally someone is doing yet, this will be one great project to watch, and yeah you better have a subframe, they have like 510 ft/lbs stock. Keep us updated, if you can get traction, that thing will be a monster.

Anybody swap a sbc V8 into a '90 up Z car?

Talk to KrazeeZX, I think you will be impressed with what he's working on... -
eeeewww gross...I've seen way too many Cavalier ricers lately, and every one of them thinks that they are fast, makes me sick, especially seeing that poor Trans Am lol
-
Thought that thing would be too long...if I recall correctly, I remember the dude with the Cuda had to move the firewall back several inches for it to fit. Although, my brother sent me a link the other day of a Jeep Wrangler with one, so I don't know. Oh well, still way too much money, would be unique though...

I agree with Tim, rice is a universal term. I suppose it applies to cars that try to look fast, without being fast. Heck, even if they are fast, if they still have fart cannons, huge wings (for the downforce on their FWD cars) and their stickers of every product they use, its rice. I've seen cars with K&N stickers, powered by Honda ones, powered by Acura or Infiniti ones, I've even seen ones with Turtle Wax and Mobil 1 stickers. Also, as far as I'm concerned "Type R" anything that is not really "Type R" is rice. Man, I just can't stand talking to a ricer. They always bring something up like, "Hey man, my friends 300 hp Civic will burn your Trans Am." So I tell them fine, tell him to come to the track, we'll race for pink slips, but its funny since these 300 hp Civics that claim to be around never show up lol. Just makes me laugh every time I see one of those ridiculous looking things.

V8 or GTO kit HybridZ members in south FL?
Jay1970Z replied to jbeech's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
I actually am a sophmore at UCF, but I am from Ft. Lauderdale, more specifically in Plantation in the western part of Broward. It is a great town, although my family is planning on moving to the West Palm area shortly. The early Z following around here is pretty weak. My dad has a '70, and thats about the only 240Z I've seen around here. I go to the Tower Shops whenever I'm down and have only seen one other early Z there ever. Very few 300ZX's as well, but they seem to have a pretty decent following around here. The tower shops are about 15 minutes from my house. If you need any info about the area let me know, I will help you out. -
Scottie posted this a while back http://www.hybridz.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=001727 I thought that second guy was just gonna suck until he just sorta melted lol. I was like freaking out at how crazy it was. I gotta learn how to dance like that

Two Years in the Federal Correctional Facility in Sheridan O

Man this really pisses me off , another step closer till they start making us "register" every firearm we own, or even the outright ban of guns altogether. Just remember, if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. I have a serious problem with the government going after people who have done nothing wrong, when they let drug dealers and thieves go every day. TZ - I feel your pain and am behind you one hundred percent - and in the words of Charleton Heston, the only way they're getting my guns is by prying them from my cold dead hands. -
I agree with livewire, I wouldn't buy any of Sears brand power tools, but I always get Craftsman hand tools. They are reasonably priced and the lifetime warranty is great. My brother bent the crap out of an 8" flathead Craftsman screwdriver prying the rusted up disk brakes off of the Z. Stopped by Sears the next day, walked out with a brand new screwdriver. Can't beat that IMO.

I dunno guys, Pete's Z is a work of art, IMO it really raises the bar for the entire Z community. I really liked Darius's Z too, his was more of a mean street look while Pete's is just plain gorgeous.

The Type-R my brother was in was heavily modified as far as I know, and I can't speak for the kid driving the 350Z's driving abilities. Just wanted to clarify that it was not a stock Type-R. As a matter of fact I raced the same Type-R while it was still stock in my lightly modified Seville and won by a decent margin. Again, these kids probably don't exactly know how to manipulate a manual transmission properly, they are just having mom and pop buy them expensive cars to be cool around school.
