  1. because americans only have enough attention span to go round in circles? (I hate nascar) we don't really have the type of roads that allow that sort of racing i don't think, and the racing out here is geared more towards straight lines and big ovals....
  2. I just wanted to point out that Your JADA 240z is part of the FOR SALE Collection, which basically, are junker cars for sale ^^ which might explain your miss matched rims, but i have no idea. maybe it wasn't supposed to be like that. i looked at all the pictures i could find, and the driver sides all had the shallow rims. i wonder....i wanna go find one at the store now haha http://www.jadatoys.com/products.php?scale=64&category=ForSale the mailing store thingy by my apartment sells TONS AND TONS of hotwheel cars, and has a huge collection of old toy cars, they have a bunch of the jada for sale cars, including the bug, bus, and mustang. I bet they have that 240z as well
  3. I have a feeling that the patent might be preventing someone from making them. I'm sure you could fab up your own by cutting apart some old drums or something like that. Sounds like a decent idea I suppose, but I've never been fond of having the suspension loaded when my car's up in the air. If someone were to get IN the car when I am UNDER it, you can say bye bye to air.
  4. My first car was an old 62 vw ragtop. No ac but man did having that ragtop and vent windows feel nice! my dad's 66 impala was the same deal, no ac, but feels nice when those vents are open ^^ I'm used to having no a/c, so whenever i can buy a z, if the a/c works, i'll keep it in, but if it stops working, it's gettin pulled lol.
  5. after seeing your car with the hood on, first thought in my mind was "Subie scoop!" haha. what's that bumper from o_O And phil, awesome car ^^ I was thinking of doing something like that if i happend to build a turbo Z in the future
  6. Why new beetle...why not a classic 62 ragtop XP it'd be faster ^^
  7. Playing paintball these past 2 years has helped me quite a bit on the "save up ALL then buy ALL at the same time" instead of buying little parts here and there, then only to find out that you got the parts combination wrong. I'm trying to save up for a 240z being sold out here that looks like it's in good shape. Once i get most of the money saved I'll have a look at it to make sure it's all in order. Then, i'm gonna save up for the next year to build a 3.0 But i'm not sure exactly how much to save. I was thinking about saving around 4-5k for a decently built one. Thanks for the tips though. Nice reminder for a young guy like me
  8. geezus. now i remember why whenever i saw a bmw when i was younger the first thing that popped into my head was rally racing haha.
  9. I live in phoenix my metrocenter, so I know how you feel. I don't drive (no car YET) but i've driven around in my mom's car, so i know what ya mean. I get nervous just walking to work across the parking lot sometimes! Hopefully when i can save 2k to buy this '70 240z it won't get murdered...
