You have such a way with words... I'm hearing that unless you are AutoXing often than the tokico HPs will be fine for street driving and some racing. Is that about right?

...This is why I'm nervous to post on here haha. You guys are serious about everything being exactly right. I pulled my N47 head off my 78 last week and it has round exhaust ports that square off on the way back into the cylinder. In this thread the only other N series head I saw with round ports was the N42 pic I quoted above. I did some home-porting on mine as there is a lip [picture below] that made a big notch on the top side of the Exhaust ports. I cut grinded them off on my head. [The left one was untouched in this picture sorry it is hard to see]: Once again I apologize if this is irrelevant

If anyone else has this problem, [i fixed this months ago] check your injector seals. I put new ones on and the problem was fixed.

The Fuel pressure regulator is new, and I can feel the gas flowing through the return line. I took a 75 Non-webbed manifold and shaved of all of the bolt holes, there is no EGR or anything on it, I just have the brake booster line and two vacuum ports that I'm using one to run the pressure regulator. I havent hooked the TPS back up, but that shouldnt affect it at idle, right? The engine idles at about 500. Could this be a vacuum leak at the manifold to head connection? My roomate suggested last night if I don't have proper crankcase vacuum it could also run poorly... any of these sound familiar? [Also if I force the A/F mix rich by pushing the flap open on the AFM it doesnt do anything which makes me think the Mix isn't lean]

Hey guys, same problem. Put on the 75 intake manifold with the 240sx TB [the small vacuum idle pipe on the bottom of the TB]. I am not using a spacer, I mounted the TB upside down and ran cable throttle linkage. My engine won't idle and I'm also occasionally getting the popping noise on 6. It will run fine up higher in the RPMs but I dont think my Fuel pressure regulator is getting enough vacuum, the fuel line from the rail started to baloon!!. Can you guys tell me what you did to fix it? I thought I hadn't closed up a vacuum port and I had a leak but I guess you guys ran into this too. Any help would be awesome. I'll look at the distributor today for the vacuum line, but I don't remeber seeing it.

Yeah I just picked up as 240sx throttle body for my NA L28 so I could run cable linkage and have the option of megasquirt. I dont know why people would think a bigger TB would give gains without a new cam... kind of like the headers on my car that dont do anything but sound good.

This happened to me a week or two ago in the middle of A/F mixture problems, I can understand how frustrating it is. Check the starter. I know it sounds easy, I actually went through all my wiring before taking the starter out and putting in a new one, but when I got it in, the car cranked right up. I had just cleaned my injectors off the car and put them back on when I went to crank it. The starter spun a few times then shut off - and then never turned on again and the volt meter would go to 0 when I put the key in the start position. Sound familiar? Hopefully you got a parts bin with your car like me or have good Z friends - My new starter was on a shelf in the garage. Good luck!

Ive only heard about DNI through what Forrest has told me and by digging around on the website. How many people usually come, and is it more S30 guys or pretty fairly distributed between all the Zs? Cant wait to see 1 quick Z take a run
