I know its loud, I made it that way. and its not an unreasonable possibility that its over the legal 94dB but I never saw him pull out a dB tester nor did he state he was testing, he only asked me to bring it up to 3k rpm. Iv spent my entire life being hassled and profiled by cops, (and no I dont have a record, and I have met nice cops I dont label all of them as bad) I fight things like this every time because I know its BS and I want these bored boondock cops to know just because hes got a badge on his shirt hes not god, just a goon with about 60IQ. Its a $94 ticket, I fight it purely on principal. Mayolives: The legal max in OR is 94dB in my case and Ill have it tested as is and if its legal Ill bring in the papers proving so and give them heat about handing out false tickets. If not Ill make it legal and bring the papers, then rip out the silencer when I get home lol

Ya no $hit, Ill have a full case prepared well before my court date though. lol Id make a good lawyer if I wernt so damn lazy

Ya, Im going to just ziptie the plate to my grill and bring a picture and it'l get dropped. As for the exhaust since he didnt have a dB meeter that I saw Im going to get it tested before and if its above Ill get it tested after a resonator/silencer is put in and Ill just bring in the test papers or somthing. I just want to get a cheapo silencer I can stick in the muffler to please the court then pull it out later lol dose anyone know for sure what the dB max in OR is?

Like the title says, the charming folks over at the Salem, OR PD gave me a nice ticket for loud exhaust and no front plate (even though its clearly visible in my window) Iv got an L26 with a header and 2.5in piping to a flowmaster muffler, is there a cheap 2.5in silencer or resonater I can slap on to be under the dB limit if I accualy am? He didnt have a dB tester or anything he just said it was to loud . I really hate when cops are having a boring enough day to issue such tickets.

Ok, everything seems to be be working now. I found the all 3 connections to my alternator loose:confused: and I relocated the battery ground. I then just went threw and double checked all the connections in the engine bay. I still haven't found the ground you mentioned though, witch still bugs me. By the looks of some of the wiring Iv fixed I swear this must be the PO... Thanks for the help V8ZRACER260Z

Ill take another look in the morning and see if I cant find it, a PO has done some wire hacking (looks like they went at it with a machete in some spots) and it makes some things a real PITA thanks guy, who ever you are.

Ok, so I checked the battery ground and there was a ground on the fender well kind of near the battery that Im not sure what it's for but I cleaned it anyway and no luck yet. But I can't find any ground on the radiator support?

school starts next monday for me, and Ill be working overtime every week. brutal weekdays gotta finish school, and fund the turbo motor.

I hate electrical problems because they overwhelm me most of the time, like this one... turn signals stopped working, emergancy flashers work but only when the lights are off and when they are on the front driver side signal is out but comes on with the running lights/headlights, and the starter starts to turn over but cant quite make it and needs a jump or I might get lucky and it works after a few trys. It also seems like the dash lights and brights are super dim. Any ideas?

Heres some better pics. (ie. not from my crappy cell phone camera lol) Ill be ordering some ARP rod bolts, main bearing set, rod bearing set, piston rings and some gaskets next week hopefully. So then Ill be abel to get the bottom end together and move on to pulling the valves from the P90 so it can get a good cleaning, lap the valves, and some gasket matched porting.

ok so Iv been slackin and still dont have this updated. Iv since shaved my side marker lights, with the welding help of HughdogZ:icon14: still taking shape at the NWZ show n' shine thanks for the pic BRAAP! and made a LED hood emblem: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=138144&highlight=LED+hood+emblem Last week I picked up an L28et the tear down and cleaning is started to I can rebuild it. The blocks ready to go, cleaned, inspected and painted and I just need new rings, bearings, and gaskets and the bottom end will be ready. Ill have some pics of the motor on the stand a little later.
