  1. just to add a little, heres my adapted linkage. I used all of the linkage from the ZX throttle body and just did a little trimming SX tb with the Z linkage making the "stopper" had an "arm" here that I cut off ^ (it was the arm that has the hole for the spring in it) and trimmed this "arm" down.^ and of course shaft has been trimmed and re-threaded since it originally has two cable things on it. and the rest slides on as seen in the pics.
  2. Can anyone recommend a machine shop to hone the cylinders on my F54 block?
  3. looks like a sweet game think ill have to pick it up
  4. on the bad battery/connections i had a similar problem, the battery cables where corroded inside the insulation. even with a new battery it did nothing untill i replaced the cables.
  5. A stock turbo set up with no IC is good to about 10psi, I deff. would not run 15psi with out an IC. and the TB in itself isnt really much, its doing that in part with other mods that make the difference.
  6. I took some pics of this RB Z at the Canby show last year. idk who the owner is but its super clean.
  7. seems to me that having the 60mm TB on a 50mm opening kind of defeats having a 60mm TB.
  8. look at the pics of the beta hood, theres a resessed area around the hole where the vent mounts in with peg holes
  9. interesting, thos would look nice idk if anyones done it yet
  10. search the forums to, I remember seeing some good threads showing pics of molds and prep ect.
  11. basicly you would need something to make a mold of witch would mean making the hood form a metal one ect. laying FG over that to produce a mold and then using the mold to make the actual product. Thats a super quick instruction but its just to get the jist, its alot of work. Id google some FG work some and research techniques and maybe practice on some smaller pieces, I dont want to descourage you from your ideas

    cheap fix

I did the same thing with my ash tray, I FGed one and made it a direct replacement so you can still close the little cover and it looks all stock pannels are lookin good!
  13. Could ask Beta about making a one off? But as far as making your own goes if you don't have fiber glassing experience then it will be hard/alot of work to get a nice looking and fitting hood. Getting a nice looking piece takes some skill, time and the right tools.
  14. Its pretty easy once you know everything that needs to be done, this thread should be helpful to anyone whos not quite sure what has to be done to make it work yet.
  15. Thanks for sharing pics Im working on the same thing right now, that same site has a nice write up on putting your stock linkage on the the 60mm TB to. http://www.graytechsoftware.com/garage/tbs_linkage.asp
