    Now what

I've heard good things about the following combo... * 280ZX NA bottom end w/ flat-tops. (Casting Code = F54) --The 280Z (N42) bottom end w/ flat-tops is good enough. * Early E88 Head w/ Larger 280Z Valves. (casting Code = E88) OR, --P90 Head shaved .080" (avoid the P90A head) * and of course, the Cam of your choice. --262/272 For the street (Good from Idle to 6000rpm. Very good from 2500rpm to 4000rpm) --280 degree cam For Auto-cross and what-not.(3000rpm to red-line) --290-310 degree cams For full race only. (anything above 4000rpm)
  2. I skipped the Moth Balls because of this: Besides, I have easy access to large quanities of (free) Toluene.(No, I can't get you some) Formula #1 - Toluene Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium 10%...........94.2 Octane 20%...........96.4 Octane 30%...........98.6 Octane

  4. I really don't know much about the "site is that about the free white faces and Vello Rossa dash" It just came up in a Gooogle search for "Z White Face Gauges." I also don't know who "Steve Graber" is. It appears this site has 280Z and 240Z/260Z white face gauge graphics availible for download that you can print out and install on your Z-car gauges. A better option would be to take the graphics to a company that can print on Viny. But then it would probably be cheaper to go with the kit in the first link, or a MSA kit. BUT, if you want to do it cheap and don't care about quality... Download the above mentioed FREE graphics, print 'em out and get the Elmers glue out.
  5. Have any of you tried the White Vinyl Gauge Faces like the ones offered here: http://zcarcreations.sureshopping.com/display.asp?sku=4&rP=features How is the fit? What do they look like when lit? Is it worth the effort or should I just go with the Autometer gauges, or Stay with the stock, black faced gauges? P.S. Here's a link to FREE white face gauge "kit"... http://www.newtier.com/graber/z-car/gauges.html
  6. I had a 200,000 mile Supra with the same problem. Replacing the (sagging) rear springs fixed it.
  7. This is really a question to those that have installed the Autometer gauges in a Z. I’ve only seen a couple of images of installed gauges. The three center gauges look like a good fit, but the Tach and Speedo look a little loose to me (1/16†to 1/8†gap around the gauge.) Is it me, or just a bad installation I saw, or are the Speedo and Tach really that loose a fit?
  8. Check out www.ratsun.com Maybe an email to this guy will get you some answers.
