  1. Don't get me wrong. I do believe that 90% of the wings on street cars are purely cosmetic. Not because of the speed capabilities of street cars but rather because of the poor design of the wings. Most of the wings you see on the street are made for cosmetics, not performance. It just drives me crazy when somebody throughs out the completly wrong blanket statement "Wings serve no purpose on FWD cars."
  2. 3 Guesses who's airplane this is... Hint: It's Nissan's airplane (Hawker 800XP). That was a real good hint wasn't it?
  3. Aaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Wings do serve a purpose on FWD cars! They help the car corner. Why would those who race FWD cars professionally carry a heavy, drag inducing wing if the wing did not help them get around the track faster?
  4. Looks to be either the 940Z or the 280YZ By a company called VR Engineering which just recently went out of business.

  10. Another possibility is the GM Northstar XV12 (if it ever makes it to production)
  11. I couldn't find a weight on the engine but it sure looks plenty tall. Here's a bit of text concerning the demensions of the engine:
  12. Another possibility is having your dash restored by JustDashes It is expensive ($800.00), but it looks 100% stock and it's restored with better materials and comes with a lifetime garentee.
  13. Too Intense Restoration has them as well.
  14. The guys in the link below make both 8-point and 10-point roll bar/cages for 240Z's. http://www.swracecars.com/rolbarlist.html (scroll to the bottom of the page) http://www.swracecars.com (the home page)
  15. Does it sound sort of like a bird chirping or is it a constant, steady squeal. I had a blown head gasket once that caused a constant, steady squeal when the engine got hot. I also had a timig chain tensioner that was worn down to bare metal and it caused a chirping sound that varied with the RPM of the engine.
  16. I Emailed them and requested a price quote. Here's their response:
  17. you can find a varity of Remote Keyless Entry systems here... http://www.slickcar.com/keyless-entry.asp
  18. Well, depending on how my eBay R200"LSD" works out I might be interested. Hey, even it is what it says it is I could fix it up a bit and then sell it for 3X what I paid. And then go the R230 route. I am a bit confused about the half-shaft comments you made above. It appears you are saying we would need four half-shafts. I'm guessing that means there is to be some "hybrid" half-shaft construction between two diferent types.?
  19. It was me. I though I'd gamble a bit. I'll let you know how it turns out.
  20. The guy says in his description that it has a new pinion. Question from a differential newbie: Are not the ring gear and pinion sold as a match set? I don't mean for gear ratio but rather for alignment. I was told by a guy who I consider to an expert when it comes to anything car related that a pinion and ring gear are machined as a matched set. And that when you install a ring and pinion there is a number on the pinion that tells you what it's exact forward and aft position in relation to the ring gear should be. And that misalignment or a mismatched set could cause wear and/or strength problems. Is this true, or has my friend had his head under the hoods of GTO's to long?
  21. 1995 Mazda MX6: Depending on scale these might work. (with ther addition of backup lights)
  22. Have any of used www.justdashes.com or a place like it to restore your dash?
