  1. The fenders fit just fine...I'm referring to the amount of sanding and bodywork to get them straight.
  2. Just noticed that you'd be taking it to a shop to get the repairs. Honestly, if you're not willing to do this work yourself, I'd just accept the fact that you wasted $450 bucks and save up for a car that needs far less rust repair. Or buy a welder and start youtube'n how-to vids...
  3. Fiberglass parts (especially cheap/thin stuff) can possibly just be as many hours of work/prep as repairing the rust, and still be more expensive in the end. I went FG hood, hatch, fenders, and bumper on my track-oriented restoration. The fenders were a cheap CL find and, by far, they were the worst to get straight (and they still didn't turn out perfect).
  4. 4:00 mark may explain why it's okay in normal conditions versus locked.
  5. Ztrix will make you stock fenders. The guy at Datsunzfiberglass can go **** himself.
  6. Worked out perfect...he even delivered 'em, haha. Thanks for the info and links, everyone.
  7. Gentlemen, thank you for the info.
  8. This is on a 72 240. Six holes. Driver side axle is shorter.
  9. Sometimes I feel smart, other times I read up on stuff and just feel my eyes roll back into my head. In this case, I did not do the R200 conversion on the car and need to replace a axle...so I'm confused as to what's on the car. I believe they're 280zx axles, but the specifics (year, turbo, non-turbo) and weather or not these are some converted, companion flange units is lost on me. Here's a photo. Where can I buy a replacement. Thanks!
  10. I flocked my dash and center console, as well. If you want to save yourself the hassle of spraying the adhesive, it does level out really well by just brushing it on. Durability is great overall.
  11. If you don't like the body kit that's molded on it and you don't want to do body work, then that's probably not the car for you. Undoing who-knows-what was done underneath that kit..ugh.
  12. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5376333700.html This one? I'd be weary of that molded on kit and what's underneath it, as the rockers tend to be rusted. And, even if it is clean underneath, be mindful that fixing (see: removing) that body kit could be another set of obstacles. i'd also be weary of any seller that states "car has no rust" then posts a photo of a rusted battery tray area...
  13. There's split grommets on Jegs/Summit that you can rivet in place without removing the wires.
  14. Finally "finished." Rust free and returned to its original Datsun 113 Avocado green...
  15. I went with TCP Global's Restoration Shop brand to reproduce the Datsun 113 Avocado. Here's the completed car...
  16. Did some searching and finding a quality rebuilt rack still seems bleak. Is there any new info on this subject?
  17. Almost looks like it's purposeful, haha. But yeah, they must be pretty short. I have custom mounts and a side-mounted seat with the goal of gaining as much head room as possible and I'm still way higher than that.
  18. I didn't realize that much head room was possible in a Z...
  19. Much appreciated. It's OEM Datsun 113 Green...looks pretty different in various lights, but I'm psyched on it.
  20. You know, just trying to make goals for you. Yeah, maybe I'll pass at $600 a piece with a guess as to whether they'll fit in the front. Shame there's not more options.
  21. Car looks awesome...would love to see it on the road before 2017, haha. I'm also interested in the Volks...I haven't been following closely. Have offsets and pricing been announced?
  22. Not sure of differences between years...looking for a turn signal switch that'll work on my 72.
  23. Looks like there KRECS control arms that they're reselling. Good quality product. Unsure about California Datsun.
  24. Haha, perfect. Thank you, Dan. You always come through.
