  1. Bob that is what i thought too, but an RB26DETT dose not look like that. It looks like the front of an SR20DET, you can see the red top and the two half moon's of the black gasket.
  2. If you look in the hole on the hood, It looks like a red top SR20DET.
  3. ON3GO, Did you get that 260Z? You could make a sump on your stock tank like I did. It is on my link.
  4. I dont know euro bumpers only have two holes? no holes for the rubber on the sides? And for 70-72 i dont think it is the bumpers its just the brackets that hold them closer.
  5. The best front bumper is from a 70,71,72 because they are closer to the body, looks good. In 73 they moved the bumper out. I think it is just the brackets.
  6. I know the question was for a L28, but a 500hp L28 could be just as much $$$ as an RB26DETT I bet. The only l28 with 500HP I have heard of is Hoover's. It has a cuttom crank and rods. Just my .02
  7. Zline The pait is House of Kolor “Kandy Organic Green†The block is stock bore in good shape, but it would cost 75$ to ship I think. I just shiped Two N42 heads UPS for 100$ to the Cali, it was 123lbs. I think you could find one in Cali.
  8. The engine bay is now black. Some day I will paint it green like the rest of the car, I think I would of trash the paint when doing all the fitting and work in there. As for the block and rods I would take 150$ for all of it but, keep in mind that I live in Canada just above North Dakota so shipping could cost a lot, depending on what state you are in.
  9. Mudge, did you get the heads I sent you yet? and if so do you like them?
  10. I will sell the rods out of my 1973 240Z if you want. And I also have an F54 block.
  11. I hope that the turbos quite it down but if not that is interesting.
  12. I can see why you guys like this intercooler, after looking at 240hoke's photos what a nice fit, and here I'm trying to jamb in my Apexi GTR core, it will fit but will take some work to do so. A lot of guys in my city take intercooler off of big rigs and cut them down and make end tanks. But i dont know how good they are.
  13. Hoover sold me two of them because the motor will move a little. And as for turbulance it will cause some but it will not be right in front of the TB on an RB26.
  14. You do have a good point there Bob. And about the size of the intercooler i will make my 24x11x3.5 core fit, it will be tight but it will work.
  15. My runs of piping will be just as short as stony's with the top feed end tanks. I will try to get you some photos of the intercooler in the car with the piping tack welded on later this week. I am working on my car a lot now, because my bud with the body shop has entered me in the world of wheels at the end of march. and i will be in Arizona for a week in Feb.
  16. On Stony’s videos it dose not sound too loud, I wonder what kind of muffler he is running? Is your car too loud? Mine last year was obnoxious, it sounded like a full blown race car.
  17. For the mandrel bends i got mine from here www.sharpeproducts.com As for that intercooler I dont know what would work good on a L28, but that one looks nice would it fit? And seeing as how your intake and exhaust are on the same side, you would have to run a long length of pipe back to the drivers side with that intercooler. Unless you could fit it in on its side?
  18. Here is a tip that I learned last summer. If you need new exhaust and you are planning a turbo swap the following winter, do not put on a 3†SS DynoMAX mandrel bent system on your stock 240Z’s L24. It might be good for the turbo setup but... I cut the collector on my full-length headers back to were it was 3†and welded the new system to that. The thing was so LOUD that you could not even here your self think. The car would attract every one who wanted to race. At almost every stoplight I had some car trying to race me, from Civics to Z06 Vetts. I had to keep the thing under 2500 RPM whenever cops were around . In parking lots it would always set off car alarms. So I hope this thing is a lot quieter with twin turbos under the hood.
  19. 240Z TURBO, Nice work but is that monster going to fit under your stock hood? And if not what are you going to do?
  20. You can get two different inserts for the HKS one to change the sound. I wonder if it makes a big difference, and weather you would like it with the other insert?
  21. This is how the turbos dump out at 80mm in this manifold (on the right side with the red tag on top). And the RB has six TBs that are feed by a manifold that has an 80mm hole. You would think that 80mm is overkill but it is stock.
  22. dero, I can help you out with some of your questions. #1 unless you have an unlimited budget you should not be thinking of R34 parts, just an example a R34 motor will cost around 5000$ more than a R33 and they are almost the same thing. #2 I dont think there is a six speed RWD Skyline just the AWD. you can only get five speeed RWD transmissions. #3 I am making some custom parts for this swap motor mounts, trany mounts, oil pans ,oil pickups, intakes, fuel sumps. So far i just have jigs for the motor mounts. And some parts for the oil pan and intake and exhaust are ready as well, most of the laser cut flanges that is. So i can also help with some of the parts. but i hope to have a line of RB swap parts to help people out. #4 keep in mind that this project could cost you as much as 10000 just to get it running. #5 you should do a search on RB in this forum
  23. it is 24"x11"x3.5" and it is 588$ from www.xs-engineering.com i did not think that was too bad of a price
