  5. Need help with Modern Motorsports Xtreme 13" Brakes, Seriously! This is for my 2JZ-GTE supra powered 240Z. I have a track day 24th so I need help ASAP. please. I had the stock brakes and the car stopped on dime (at least once). I got; Modern Motorsports Xtreme 13" Brakes with the supplied pads A Brand new Nabco 15/16" master cylinder A Wildwood rear valve (open all the way now) A Bendix Vac Booster 222-0 0122 (I believe it is a 6" model) I cannot skid the tires in a wet parking lot! The pedal feels very hard. Like I am not getting vaccum assist. What is the problem? I though about new pads 7/8 Master cylinder larger booster? Maybe a pinched line. I have no idea. Please let me know. Also I need to know what caliber the PBR are so I go the autostore and buy replacement pads and rotors. Thanks!
  6. Can anyone point me to a guide of which LS1, LS2, L92, etc, engines will handle boost best (as in durable). Thick cylinder walls, good heads, larger displacement are all a plus. I am in the planning stage.
  7. Hello, My name is Cyrus. I made the first 2JZ-GTE 240Z on these boards back in the day. Since then I got married, had kids, etc.. Still in my 30's though. My buddy invited me to drive Laguna Seca on FEB 24th. I though about for a week our so then bite the bullet and paid. It was a big commiment because It means I have to resurrect my car. It has been stored in a nice garage for a long while. It was driving but had some things that needed to be taken care of. ie vibrations, interior, etc... So my kids are a little older now and have some time, so I put my back into. Dragged out all my parts. Put the car on jackstands (jackstand racing) and started buy parts. Glad to be back!
  8. I am sorry for the pain. I think it is because your order of things. Airforce, then car, then wife, then baby would make you life easier. But it sounds like you are manning up and got your head on straight. Do what is right, not easy, and you sir will have to world by the tail in due time. CHeers.

  16. I am starting a Hybrid business of sorts... I love swaping in high powered engines as some of you know. I did a LS1 6spd 240Z. I did the first 2JZ-GTE swap on this board so now I need to try something new. So I went BIG, I mean small, as in Radio Control car engine swapping. We ship the end of the week so I am exicited. Oh and tomorrow will be a video of this thing doing cruising at 35 mph then hitting the WOT. It pulls back flips like nothing. Tenbol.com Any comments? Also my 1/8 scale Hybrid.(different platform)
  17. Wow I have been away. I have two babies and a Great wife and... still have the Z. Runs great but needs some final finishing. I need to post some pics...
  18. BRAAP That was AMAZING! Here the catch I have found. 4wd only works in snow as there is no slip in the wheels. All mech driven together. So AWD is the bomb as viscous or torsen couplers allow for internal slippage on hard pavement. So unless the slipper is in the divorced transfer case w the T56 it will not work. I am now wondering about the 6L80 AWD Trans!!! I never though and auto could rock!
