I am taking a week vacation from the Z. Check out the work. I have about 2 months in it. I hope 1 more and I will be driving.

  4. why does this not work? I got pics of LS1.
  5. Hey whats sup all. Big guy buy the vette motor mounts and brackets and use channel or box it will be so much easier. I might get pix up.
  6. Phantom, Did you have this done. I took it to 3 places and no one could deal with the stainless braid. cyrus
  7. Hey Jeromio, Use the shop manuals from helm inc. You have the camaro harness right? Remember you have: camaro engine harness (no mod needed) camaro light harness (goes under hood) camaro body harness (dash+Interior) Camaro tail harness (throw out) Datsun engine bay harness (just retain the lights, horn and a + and -) Datsun dash harness The basic stragegy is to minimize all harnesses, retain the engine PCM and Body computer, use the correct resistance solder inline for the pass key II, and have the harnesses run in parallel with each other. Start by cutting out the radio, amp, and speakers, this is about a third of all wire inside. Then remove rest, air bag, HVAC, etc. Ok now the clutchk, I think it can be done simply with out removing anything. I will just make an adapter that goes between the end of the camaro line and the datsun 1/8 hard line. Or maybe you can tap the exisiting clutch fitting (it comes out). If I have see farther, it is because I am have stood on the shoulders of giants. (Decartes..?) cyrus
  8. What is the part number or application of the rubber trans mount he used in his dif mount? thanks cyrus
  9. What is the part number or application of the rubber trans mount he used in his dif mount? thanks cyrus
  10. How in world do I hook this thing up? Looks like it has no fitting. Do I have to take the trans and engine apart to reach it?
  11. Come on man... This is really not a hard questions the v8 is; 1. mo relible 2. mo powerful 3. cheaper 4. easier 5. does not have turbo lag I have no idea why some one choose the turbo unless rules or something dictated it. As far as weight goes all alumin LS1 v8 are LIGHT. If any can see what I am missing please point it out to me. PS. Things like coolness, etc are not related to performance and originality does not have a place at Hybridz...
  12. SleeperZ, V8 LS1= 3000 t56= 1500 fab=1000 MPG= 25 Highway Turbo turbos= $? fab=? MPG=? '83@2800 lbs @ 104 mph in the quarter is 250 hp? But I will grant you, that you are correct at elavation turbos ROCK!
  13. If money was not an issue, and I was building a 240Z. 1. I would use the 2002 LS6 with the vet rear suspension, torque tube, etc. 2. Twin intercooled turbos with 20 PSI of boost. 3. A full cage. 4. and most importantly AC
  14. I have completed the wiring of all 240z and camaro in about 50 hours. I am stumped on how to get GM special fuel lines to be custom fit to my car. I am using the Camaro tank. I saw jerimino's but I want to not cut the bottom beam out and it can not be in the tunnel.
  15. I have a LS1 with cast iron camaro exhaust manifolds, what did the tubular ones come on? I can not seem to find any. cyrus
  16. Update. I have cut out more wire from car, 15 pounds now. I combined the camaro and datsun harness up front. It looks so factory it hurts. I have all the electrical working now, fuel pump, camaro dash, datsun lighting, etc. To mount the ecm I used the camaro bracket screwed on the fender ( real easy). I had to move all of the wires that go to the starter, o2, oil press, etc... because they close to the exhaust manifold. I ran them all foward out the front of the engine and up to the fender. I am getting stuck though I have the folllowing issues: 1. I have to lower the differential front by 3/4" 2. I need custom steel lines for the fuel and I want to run them outside of the frame rails 3. I can not find a LSD in california. 4. It is tough to find hoses for the LS1-Griffin radiator combo. cyrus
  17. I am using a LS1 with a T56. Are you guys using the camaro driveshaft? How long should it be? What yoke should I to use?
  18. I would like to find out where everyone is on there project and what are there present struggles. engine: I have engine mounting done, tank: I will cut the spare out and use camaro electrical: almost done trans: t56 need mounting drive line: I will remount diff for no vibs and use ??? dash: none or custom with camaro pod
  19. Where do you find LS1 lines? or how to make our own? cyrus
  20. Where do I buy suspension rebuild stuff?
  21. Corvette manifold hit the steering. I almost finished the extraneous wire removal... I have removed 11.44 lbs of wire! Like a grocery bag full. Now I need a custon aluminum dash to mount the camaro gauge cluster.
  22. Yup, It look backwards... oh well I start cutting out the extra wire in the camaro harness. total so far removed 6.95 lbs.
