  1. Now if I could just get my LS 436 to run with the new Fast 102intake, NW DBW 102 throttle body and LS7 maf I'd be tickled pink....lol The LS platform is great but damn tuning mods is a pain in the butt...lol I used to run a carb'd 385 sbc 700r4 combo in mine and made nowhere near the power of the LS plus carb's are a pain in the butt with weather changes. The 6 liter you run is a great platform, kind of wished I had stayed with it.
  2. The fenders are light, not going to gain much there. My 1971 240Z with a 4L80E and LSX iron block is a pig, 2900 and some change with my 200 lb butt planted in it. My old set up was a 416 rwhp 6 liter and it went a best of 10.66 at 123, you have a lot left in her with that mph!
  3. Congrats, it's a great feeling when it all starts coming together!
  4. For me it was not having to replace trashed 4L60E's all the time. I am only making around 520rwhp on motor and 670'ish on a shot of juice thru the 4L80E but I know the 4L60E would die a quick death unless heavily modified!
  5. You are going to love it, so much power on demand!
  6. Just picked up a Tony Mamo ported Fast 102 LXR intake, Fast Fuel rails and a Nick Williams DBW 102 throttle body for my 436, should be fun!
  7. Looking for one or more 280Z rear strut insulators. Let me know what you have. Thanks Mike
  8. Love the lift, I need to do the same thing. No more shops and playing the waiting game!
  9. I had to open the radiator holes a bit for 4" piping, It's always something.
  10. Congratulations, that's hauling ass in a little 240Z.
  11. Shocked that the MSD's held up, I ate through 3 sets of there wires and boots with my old sbc S30, finally went to Taylor 10MM and never looked back. That's good to know that they have made adjustments to the material in there boots.
  12. Yes it is, new Griffith Radiator, Lincoln 2 speed fan. She runs nice and cool around town, never above 195, but get on the highway and after 15 minutes of driving the temp keeps creeping upwards to 210-215. When I get back off the highway she drop back down to 180-190. I got to thinking about how the cowl works and what it's original purpose was for. It was to be sealed around the air cleaner delivering cold air to the carb not the engine bay. If the engine bay is open to the high pressure wouldn't that cause some turbulence with the air being sucked thru the radiator, kind of like a back pressure at higher speeds? Anyway, I put the louvered stock hood back on it so we shall see how she runs in a few days, I am curious to say the least.
  13. Any updates on how the experiments turned out?
  14. I have run 9.70's on a puny 235/60-15 tire
  15. I agree Phantom. When I finally outgrow drag racing Ill be swapping to a six speed manual.
  16. I am on the fence as to what way to go but stock louvered maybe just the way to go. I like the idea of cool temps especially since I will be adding AC too!
  17. I use 275/50-15 Mickey Thompson drag radials and it dead hooks. Foot braking it the other night at Denton it went 1.42 60 ft.
  18. So which one do you like best? I think the stock louvered hood may win out. Thanks, Mike
  19. Congratulations, I was wondering the same thing, top end stability, how was it. I have never been over 145 in mine.
  20. Thinking about it for next winter, we will see. Went to the track and it went 6.50 at 102 with a 1.42 60 ft. converter is not liking it at all, time to send it back to Edge. We tried locking it up in second to help but still no go. 102 at 6.50 is 5mph low guessing, I ran 105 mph running 6.70's with high 1.40's for a 60 ft. She is dead hooking on the 275/50-15's though.
