  1. Iron is better for boost or real high power applications. That said I run the 6 liter aluminum block for weight savings.
  2. Looks good, too much free time on your hands or you need to lay off the meth...lol j/k
  3. Well low and behold I drove the car to my friends shop that's around 50 miles of mainly highway driving, ran into some traffic on this 100 degree day and she overheated again. I have since swapped to a Mark VIII fan instead of the Taurus do to the fan dying on me some months ago. I checked everything out and decided to order a new radiator, my Griffin is 15 yrs old, maybe just not cutting it anymore. I have tried everything but relocating the trans cooler somewhere else. Lower fan has a sleeve and will not collapse so I know it's not that. I may remove the thermostat 160 degree and run a Moroso washer/reducer instead. On another note, has anyone run header wrap to reduce under hood temps? This car gets hotter than hell under there!
  4. My 240Z had a sbc 385 nitrous set up in for yrs, behind it was a built 700R4, a 4L60E is the electronic version of the 700R4, mine lasted for yrs and several hundred passes. The secret is the Z is a light car.
  5. I am running the LS2 Corvette pan, great clearance now.
  6. Ended up not making it out, stayed out way to late last night. Maybe next month....damnit
  7. I believe it is .75. Sorry it took so long to post. 1/4 mile but I run 1/8th too
  8. Lincoln fan, after my old Taurus fan fan finally gave out after nearly 10 yrs
  9. Run the electric fans, it's the only way to go, ecm controlled.
  10. They are not too expensive plus if still in good shape you could reuse them, not what I'd recommend though.
  11. I am going to try and make it out there as well, going to be a mad house as usual. Seems like 6-6:30am is the time to show up for a good spot.
  12. Vigilante converters are also a very good choice and not too expensive
  13. I am running a 4L80E in my 240Z. I am running a 9.5" Edge Racing converter 36-3800 stall. I have no problems at all driving around town, it's a good medium.
  14. Oh ok, nice build! Should be a beast on the twist & turns.
  15. Congratulations Dave, who did the tune? I thought you went with an LS2, not LS6, just curious. Is she stock, cam, etc? just being nosey lol
