  1. My friends trying to talk me into a big single set up for the car.
  2. This set up is over kill for my ride but I can pull the motor out and insert it into most anything and go fast if future plans change.
  3. Anyone else have this problem? When it's cold out I have no problems with it running cold at most any speeds but when it heats up it runs hot at freeway speeds. typically 180-190 around town in stop and go, 200-210 at 65-75 mph. I believe I may have an issue with the cowl hood building pressure under hood causing turbulence issues thus causing the cooling system to lose efficiency. I am thinking of blocking the under side of the cowl off from air flow and seeing what happens at freeway speeds or just replacing my cowl hood with my stock louvered hood and not messing with the whole mess. I would like to add a/c to the car but I must first get the temp under control before ever tackling the addition of a/c.
  4. I got a super sweet deal on it, paid less for it than the parts alone. 10K build for half that or I would have never entertained the idea, was happy with my little 6 liter.
  5. Well got it back together and now the injectors (39lb) are maxed out at 106 percent duty cycle when we tried to open her up. I just picked up a pair of the CTSV 52 lb injectors from my tuner Sam Miller, copy file from the CTSV and tweak it a little. Now to fix my converter, it now flashes 5200 on motor and 6000 on a 150 shot. Now I have to pull the trans back out and send the converter back to Edge Racing for a little adjusting. Hope to get a high 9 second pass on motor and then hit her with a 200 shot on a progressive controller. While she is down we are installing some much needed LED headlights, 240Z headlights suck, even H4's.
  6. My battery sits in the back of the car so no issues there. I use the Taylor 10mm plug wires. My MSD wires always cooked and came apart real fast even when using the sleeves.
  7. You should be able to if it keeps the same placement as the Ls1 stuff, to the best of my knowledge it does.
  8. The LS9 cam is a great swap, picks up power and very street friendly. They can be had for 100 bucks too.
  9. I thought 12 weeks was too long in paint jail, you Sir take the crown! You must have the patience of a Saint...lol
  10. Driveshaft issues were the culprit with my vibration issue last year. Had a 3" custom driveshaft made, no problems anymore. I have also had tape on wheel weights come off and give me fits until I figured it out.
  11. I cobbled mine with two pieces of hose and a piece of aluminum tubing/pipe
  12. Not sure of quality, I do know that you can buy a Griffin for less that 200.00 and they are a good quality radiator
  13. It's a one piece unit, 2 speed fan and shroud made by Ford/Mercury for a late model Lincoln/T-Bird
  14. Sorry this is the best I could do with everything in the way 24x19 Griffin radiator with Lincoln 2 speed fan
  15. Modified the set I purchased with the group by on this board, wasn't to bad at all.
  16. I am using the oil pan off a 2006 LS2 Corvette, sits level with the cross member and holds 5.5 quarts of oill.
  17. I am running a 4L80E in my 240Z with very little work, motor is in with Johns kit. I am also running long tube headers with dual 3" exhaust muffler is a dual 3" in/out dynomax muffler I believe. I will post pic's, just got to find them!
  18. I run a 24x19 with a smidge on either side to spare in my 240Z.
  19. I just ordered a set of 275/50-15 Mickey Thompson drag radials for the rear, time to ditch the 255/60's. I am going to Ennis (Texas Motorplex) Friday night to get some motor passes before another cam swap. Hope for low low 10's on motor then swap cam and maybe get a high 9 second pass on motor.
