  1. I received mine on monday also. Thank you Tim for putting this together, also thanks to all who submitted designs for the new shirts. Later, Tom
  2. Jared, Dan has a good idea except, Iwould first send copys of the documents ,then if they make an effort to return your money send the tires. You don't want to end up without the money and tires. I would also make sure all corespondance has proof of delivery . When you file with the internet fraud task force you will recieve an id #so you can update your report later. Hopefully to report a positive resolution . Later ,Tom
  3. Sorry i don't have a link for you but look up the federal internet fraud reporting site. You can fill out a complaint there. I had a problem. and after informing the other party that a federal complaint had been filed my goods arrived in 3 days .This was after close to a year of trying to get satisfaction. Good Luck. Tom
  4. Very nice install, looks like it came that way from the factory. What paint is that ? Do you have a code # tor it? Later,Tom
  5. The 280 should have an r-200 as standerd equippement. Tom
  6. You might want to pick uo a copy of Street Rodder magazine. There are several companies that advertise there regularly. The units tend to be compact due to the limited space available in most of the old cars. The Vintage Air is a very poupular product and has been around for long time. Good Luck,Tom
  7. Metal working is undergoing an increase in popularity.Go to metalshapers.org for a great site tons of info and quite a few old craftsmen who are willing to share their knowledge . The site also has links to venders of metal working tools, books and videos. There are also classes being offered around the country by some of the best in the buisiness. Later, Tom
  8. Ken , First off welcome to the board. One of the problems with chemical strippers is making sure you have totaly removed all residue from the assorted cracks and crevices in the body.If this isnt done correctly. after you have repainted it can contaminate the fresh paint and ruin your hard work. If you arn't going to put a show quality paint job on the car.you really don't need to take the car down to the metal.Take off the paint down to the primer and rebuild the paint from there. If the car has been patched with filler or has rust pits take those areas down to metal. When I refer to show quality I mean paint jobs costing in the tens of thousands of dollars. You can achieve a very nice finish without all the work needed when trying to attain absolute perfestion. Later,Tom
  9. You guys in Cal.are so spoiled, that rust is'nt very bad at all .I live in Minnesota and let me tell you I know rust. Most cars in the midwest dont last 10 years before the road salt has turned them into swiss cheese. That amount of rust can easily be repaired.with the supply of z cars drying up it makes sense to start saving cars like this. Later, Tom
  10. GtMattz If you pick up a copy of Street Rodder magazine you will find several companies offering wiring kits and components. Later Tom
  11. When I bought my house one of the selling points was the hospital within walking or, crawling distance. Tom
  12. Hi Mike sorry to hear the bad news.At least they did'nt take the whole car. At times like this I always rember the James Bond movie where he parks the lotus and the camera pans the window sticker (Theft Protected). Shortly, a thief breaks into the car and starts it up only to have the entire car blow up. Good Luck, Tom Ps.Any time after the first of july would be good to send the trans.
  13. Hi Perry, Can you describe your hinge design and post photos? Thanks, Tom
  14. Mike sorry to hear the latest .Rember you have a lot of friends who are all wishing the best to you and your family. Tom
  15. To start, I think that the racers should do time, intentional or not they still took the lives of others. What I would like to know is why did the saturn turn into oncoming traffic? Was there a drug test performed post mortum? Was the driver talking on a cell phone. Was this an inexperienced driver who coulden't judge the speed of oncoming traffic? As far as the hobby goes this is the sort of incident that gives ammunition to those who would like to outlaw the modification of cars. Later, Tom
  16. Well I know a guy who has a friend who knows another guy with a wing like that and he got an extra 30 miles per hour by using the hi performance teflon cover . Tom
  17. Zach you might want to try this idea .I've seen several old hot rods that were painted flat black with a coat of semi gloss clear on top .This gives a neat look and seals the paint . Tom
  18. Very nice, where did you get the flares? The vents in the flares look great, very agressive. Later, Tom
  19. I'm sorry to hear the news Mike .My thoughts will be with you and Donna. Later,Tom
  20. Mike, Try fed ex Freight,It is a lot cheeper than their door to door rates. It will be further for me to drive to pick it up at the depot, but well worth it for the cost savings. This is how Mike V. shipped the trans up from texas. Later, Tom
  21. WOW very nice work. The new drip rails clean up the lines on the top of the car nicely. Would you like to share the details on how you did that?Tom
  22. What did she eat? I've produced gas bad enough to make people think something had died, but never bad enough to actually kill. Name witheld to protect the guilty

    To Ship A Car

I would recomend trying Hemmings motor news web site,or pick up one of their magazines. You should be able to find shipping companys listed there . An other alternative is the auto shopper mags . Good Luck, Tom
